How much energy did Madara's Meteor strike release?

Note: the calculation regards 1 meteor. The first meteor was completely stopped by Oonoki and Gaara. Oonoki made it considerably lighter as well meaning meteor 1 mass <<<< meteor mass 2. And even if meteor 2 hit meteor 1 and not the ground, the same amout is still released since it came to a stop and something caught all of meteor 2's momentum.

To calculate the energy I will have assume that the physics of the Naruverse is the same as ours. The radius/diameter and velocity of the Meteor is also going to be assumed.

The Earth's density is 5540 kg/m3, or 5514 kg/m3 according to Nasa's Earth facts. But the density of Earth is greater than the most dense rock with Peridotite having an upper density of 3300 kg/m3. In fact, Earth's surface density is only 3000 kg/m3. The reason for this great difference is because of the earth containing heavy and dense elements, like molten iron, in its core.

Even though Madara and Nagato haven't been stated to use the same jutsu I will assume that Madara spawned earth and rocks too and therefor has the same density.

Since the Meteor is portrayed with Japanese signs for sound it means the Shinobi could hear it as it was falling. Here are some panels[1][2][3], and the signs "go go go go" (ご ご ご ご) stands for menacing/threatening sound and atmosphere with the same signs being present when Nagato used his similar Chibaku Tensei.

That means the meteor is moving slower than the speed of sound which is 343 m/s a sunny day. You can't hear an object moving at the speed of sound when it is moving towards you. I will since I'm lazy assume that the radius is 1 kilometer. That will give a nice 2 km diameter which is respectable for an asteroid .

Math time:

The Volume of the spherical meteor can be calculated using 4/3*π x Radius³ and the mass is found by taking the volume x density, 3000 kg/m³.

Kinetic Enery is gotten by the formula ½ x mv² where "m" is mass and "v" is velocity.

What we get as energy is
½ x [3000*(4/3pi*1000³)] x 343² = 739210468204371169 J = 739 210 TJ of energy.
The bolded part is the mass here

Using Konan released energy, 577392000000000000 J, as a reference
739210468204371169 / 577392000000000000 = 1.2802575515496771
Meaning that Madara's Meteor released 28% more energy.
Its A-bomb worth is therefore 6571 x 1.28 = 8410.88 = 8411 Fat Man A-bombs

Sadly for Madara, since I used the speed of sound in the calculation, he must have released less energy as his meteor was clearly moving slower than the velocity I used. 343 m/s is too fast for the alliance to hear it falling.

If I give the Meteor a termial velocity the velocity will be around 90 m/s. That will result in the energy released being much smaller than for Konan's jutsu.

½ x [3000*(4/3pi*1000³)] x 90² = 50 893 800 988 154 650 J = 50 893 801 GJ

Taking Konan as a reference again
577 392 000 GJ / 50 893 801 GJ = 11.345 meaning it is 11 times less powerful or a meager 579 Fat Man Nukes

I doubt it was formed 40 000m up which is were Felix Baumgartner jumped from and reached Mach 1.25 since he didn't have to combat air resistance. And again, that fast and you won't here it coming.

For Madara's meteor, with my assumed diamter of 2000m, it would have to move at 303 m/s, or faster, to theoretically release the same, or greater, amount of energy than Konan.

In the last calculation I will give the Meteors a respectable 200 m/s.

So what are you trying to prove? It was the size of a small real-life meteor.

Who gives a fvck about all this energy calculations?
Why don't you enjoy the manga like a normal person?

._. I didnt understand shiz about any of le calculations but yeah... the meteors are powerful alright (I am assuming you mean that the meteors are super powered XD)

The problem is that we have too many assumptions to work with. For the rock being used, we could get the least dense and the most dense. However, the speeds are just pure assumption. Another problem is that the meteor isnt a perfect sphere, so it's not exactly 4/3 pi r^3.

Another thing is that it wasnt all the energy released that affected the alliance. First, the energy was release way above them. And second, a considerable amount of it was lost when the meteor cracked and destroyed the other meteor.
We didnt get to see all the destruction madara's meteor could cause.

PS: Dont mind these idiots that say "lol, calculations, didnt read, who cares". It seems that people here cant understand high school physics.

I feel like a meteor that size in reality would destroy the earth if it was moving faster

So much writing and for people who don't really care. This is anime and naruto logic. Goodness.
