In the latest chapter it seems as though Obito had an identity crisis.

Whatever it is that is controlling his mind now is more concerned with destroying everything than infinite tsukuyomi.

Seems like the only one who can initiate the genjutsu is Madara now!

But since Naruto became friends with the tailed beasts, and he could still sense them when they got sucked in - I think he'll be able to "control" them..

It indeed doesn't seem like the infinite tsukuyomi will launch anytime soon. If he was in control, he probably would have initiated it right away, especially since it's full moon.

No. Because then it wouldn't last infinitely. The Juubi is incomplete. He has all the reason not to initiate the plan right off the bat.

Maybe a fail safe put in by the SO6P so that only someone like Naruto could take the power all others would start losing themselves in the Juubi.

I don't think so. I don't think Kishi drew the moon in the shot randomly when everyone was being warned that Obito was more dangerous than before.

I still don't understand why Madara doesnt cast it now. He can create more moons if he needed and he has an undying edo body.
