Possibly. The text is really small. But i am pretty sure it says "The seal that creates a jinchuriki." Meaning it is a sealing jutsu which the sage used to seal the Juubi inside of himself.

It says he created acertain type of NINJUTSU to protect the world from the juubi. And that ninjutsu is still being passed down quietly today X_X ~cough cough~ rinnegan. X_X

Yet it says that this ninjutsu (Possible contradiction from Kishi himself seeing that it has happened many times before) is used to create jinchurikis. And to create a jinchuriki you need to seal the bijuu inside of someone do you not? So it would be a sealing jutsu.

EDIT: Also the only clan members who have shown the ability to stay alive after a bijuu is extracted is none other than the Uzumaki.

Ok let me clear something up. I think the OP wasn't clear enough about the Uzumaki's not being able to perform ninjutsu. This is just my take, and please correct me if I happen to be wrong. My take on it is not that they are un-able to learn ninjutsu, but that they just don't know how to do it. Their whole lives, they just study sealing techniques, and Uzumakis only learn sealing techniques. And their other fighting abilities come from taijutsu and weapons. Ex:

Their whole lives, their parents and other family member ONLY learn sealing jutsu, never any ninjutsu at all. Why, maybe they might think down on it, or disagree with it. Or maybe they're forbidden to use it. The forbidden thing might make sense because we've seen them use healing techniques. Also on the topic of the Uzumaki's history. I think that the sage was indeed an Uzumaki. Now, he COULD have had a third child but probably not. The Uzumaki gene is probably just recessive. This gene can probably just pop up in Uchiha and Senju offspring. I happen to believe that the two brothers were created with the "creation of all things" technique, but in the occurrence that he did have a female partner, she could have outlived the So6p and became the leader of the clan. Who's to say she stayed with the sage long? She could have been a radical pacifist and developed a hate for ninjutsu because of the juubi, and the sages power. We also don't know what kind of guy he was. So in her vision, teaching sealing techniques and medical ninjutsu could have been the non violent ways to end problems in her views, and also was the way to peace. It would make a lot of sense. Also it would explain how hashirama got his healing powers, a genetic occurrence perhaps, or because mito taught him, or both? anyways this is just speculation and theories and my thoughts

I dont know how this guy dealt with this all day. The manga scan that you decided to refer to states that the sage created some mysterious ninjutsu, and that this ninjutsu is how he created jinchurikis. Meaning that its a sealing jutsu. If the sage was a Uzumaki.. then why do the Uzumaki not have a sharingan? . since the sage is Senju + Uchiha.. And your saying the Sage was a Uzumaki.. meaning your also claiming that Senju +Uchiha = Uzumaki....

o-o. If he was a uzumaki.... and then the Uzumaki clan split into Uchiha and Senju.... then are they calling Nagato being from the Senju linage... or Senju and Uzumaki being distant relatives?...... its literally impossible. o-o.

Here are some things I picked out along the way:

1. SO6P doesn't have to be an Uzumaki to have great sealing techniques, or strong bodies/life force because he could have simply have passed it on to the his close relatives like Senju and Uzumaki (Obviously the manga states the Uzumaki are relatives of the Senju who where the descendants of the younger son the SO6P)

2. It makes sense that SO6P didn't know ninjutsu Pre-Juubi because he was the originator of Nin-Jutsu Post-Juubi

3. I believe this is very close to what Kishi is planning though.

I feel as if you did not read the thread. His theory suggests that the ocular powers came from the Juubi itself, seeing that it has a rinnegan with tomoes like a sharingan. So that clears up your point about the Uzumaki not having the sharingan. If your refering to Kushina's chakra chains, then that is a SEALING JUTSU. And i didnt really get much from your other points. Senju and Uzumaki are related yes, because the sage gave the Senju the powers of his body which is Uzumaki in origin. At the end of the day, his thread as a whole brings up much stronger arguments than the counters and it really makes a whole lot more sense when you think of how it impacts the story. So as of now, i choose to believe this theory.
