After reading the chapter last week, the topic about the eight and final gate started to come up. The Gate of Death as its referred to, and its also said that this gate will kill its user after a short amount of time. Now, it got me thinking and we will most likely have an answer tomorrow or next week. But I wanted to create a theory based on what we know about this and how it works basically. So lets get started with that right away.
These are the Eight Inner Gates which a person can learn to open and use at will. Now for starters, lets take a look at the location of each gate, two of them are located in the brain and five are located along the spine of the human body. The last one is located closer to the heart of a human . Now I see this as two possible reasons, the first being that the last gate uses the power of the heart and will stop it after the gate closes again. The other way is that the gate will resurrect it's user for a short time and then they will die again. Both of this statements are viable options as Kakashi stated that who ever uses the last gate will surely die. Now let me explain these two views in detail.
The Eight Gate of Death - Resurrection
This theory is rather simple, I actually think that this is the way it works. The reason why I think this is because I mean that the gates are named not for the effects they do to your body, but for the cause that your body needs to go through in order for the gates to open. It also proves how the user dies if they need to die in order for the gate to activate. Now, I assume that it would be activated through the use of a seal prior to death and upon dying the user will be revived for a short amount of time with more power than even a Hokage. You see, we humans are limited to a certain amount of our body strength, if we were to use 100% of our muscles they would break and be ruined. However, these restrictions does not apply to a corpse if it was able to move around.
If Guy is to be revived as a corpse he would be able to use his body to its full potential, but only for a limited time. This would greatly increase his speed, strength and senses. However, this is only one way to see the use of this gate. The other one will come now!

This is the theory most people tend to share. It goes as follows: The user activates the Gate of Death and will only be alive for a short amount of time. In theory one would need to active all of the seven prior gates in order to open the final eight gate. The only thing I don't really understand about this gate is that it wouldn't really have any logical way to increase the user's power or speed. As the other gates have already maxed every part of the body already. That is why I think the other theory is more likely. However, one thing that supports the theory is that the gates can also be named after the effects it has to the body. This is best shown when Lee uses the gates during the Chunin Exams and Kakashi comments that it increased his recovery when he opened the Heal Gate.
Lee's recovery speed was increased when he opened the Heal Gate which may be because each gate's name is given to what effect it has to the body.
