Drumstick lies motionlessly beside the sea shore, her clothes and hair brimming with sand, carelessly scattered.
How long has it been since the last time she'd seen another human being?

Dwayne: as Dwayne and Salem walk along, they see the shore.
Hey. Salem do you see that?
Salem: it's too dark too see but yah...looks like a girl?
Dwayne: should we go see if she ok?
Salem: it wouldn't be smart because how dark it is. What if she's one of them?
Dwayne : let's just take that chance.
*they begin to walk to the girl.

 

[Katachi]

The girl is aware of the men's voices. Too dreary to open her eyes, too exhausted to force herself off the ground, she struggles to show any signs of life.
After merely a couple of seconds, the ocean breathes yet another wave; as it emerges, it stumbles upon the girl, pushing her further into the Island.

*they approach her* if we get killed it's your fault. Salem states.
Dwayne starts to the girl seeing that she is just weak.
Dwayne: hey. Stay with us are you ok?

*after walking for a while Cole sees carvings into trees*
Cole: Dwayne was here.... I guess I'm on the right track
*starts following the carvings*

Hey!!! I think she needs help or she will die. Can't leave her here anyways. But what if she's infected and bites me?
what will they do?
Save her?

The girl's head turns slightly, her left eye twitches in attempt to get rid of any sand that might have found her way into it. She sees the two men - their faces illuminated by the moon's cold, unwelcoming glow.
Drumstick opens her mouth to speak - yet after merely a few seconds, shuts it close again. Her throat is heavily damaged by what she recalled as screaming. Screaming at them. Running away.

*sees the two on the beach with a girl and runs over*
