Some members here seem to think that The Blade Of Totsuka is instantaneous. Yet as Itachi said, everything has a weakness.

First of all we have only 2 pieces evidence of Totsuka actually sealing someone.

First is Orochimaru

He was caught off guard and as we see it in the anime, it took time to actually stab Orochimaru even if it was a couple of seconds.

Next is Nagato.

As we can see here is that Nagato was Also caught unaware. If he could actually perceive the attack then the outcome might have been different.

Also

In addition to the Blade of Totsuka requiring time to actually stab someone, The time require to seal someone is not instant as well.

This gives multiple enemies more openings when he is sealing someone.

thoughts?

You missed the part where he dies of AIDS after using it.

"Totsuka blitz" isn't real. It is a sword. It's only "blitz" depends on how fast Susano'O can swing it. That just goes back to Susano'O speed, which is the standard.

Indeed, Totsuka do have weakness. Ignorant itachi fans would disagree.

I am not going to state any names but one member was actually stating that the blade is instant. Also Unlike Madara's Legged Susanoo, Itachi's Susanoo looks a bit bulky so the swing rate might be slower.

That's exactly what I'm speaking against. Craziness.

Itachi can use Totsuka Blade in the Final Form or the Complete Form (Iirc, but I can't remember where he showed it - it might have even been Yata instead). But I wouldn't equalize speed for Susano'Os anyway. Each Susano'O is as different as each user's chakra signature.

You're mostly correct (though referencing the anime for sealing time isn't a valid argument).

The real "weakness" to the spiritual weapons is the fact that Itachi can only maintain full Susano'o for so long before his sickness gets the better of him.

That's true

"Totsuka Blitz" is fanfiction, as it only has been shown to hit cripples.

Also, Totsuka itself has no speed, it's inanimate, meaning it's usage relies on how fast Susanoo is. We have many feats of Susanoo's speed, and it's not blitz-worthy.

Since the anime mirrors the manga (more or less) it is considered canon and valid. Other than that I agree.

Not exactly. One should never use the anime as a basis for an argument, especially for finite points dealing with things like time, reaction speed, etc.

The animation team is free to do what they want. They could have added dialogue, dramaticized the scene, etc, which makes it seem longer and/or shorter than it was intended to be conveyed as in the manga.

It is more or less the same as the manga though. Anyway in the Manga both Oro and Nagato were hit unaware. I agree with your points here though
