The dorama dilemma!!!

My sister was watching one of those crappy korean doramas and there was this girl disguised as a boy working on a coffee shop. The owner of the place was another boy and after some time he fell in love with (him, her?). He didn’t know she was a girl and still he fell in love. My question is: would you consider that as a gay action or not? (nothing against gays btw!) Or do you think he could ‘sense’ or ‘feel’ she was a girl somehow? What would you do in that case?
