The diff between Obito and Naruto is that Naruto had a better set of mentors.
Under Minato, Obito was exactly like Naruto but lacked his drive.
Under Madara, he was facing death, half the shinobi he used to be(literally), and was taught only about power and control.

No child can come to terms with the things Obito had to face, not even in the ninja world. Imagine if Naruto lost half his body, lost his love interest, and was forced to train and live in a cave all as a child. That, on top of usually being the butthurt among his peers. It would be an entirely different Manga.

Obito is an actual underdog who turned the tables; Naruto is a hero's son who has a chakra headstart and a nurturing environment where even Kages give him space and allowance.

People looked down on Obito; they feared Naruto.

Obito got fed up with being kicked around by life; Naruto got fed up with being ignored.

Yeah, it helped him. That doesn't nullify the fact that he worked hard. Without MS (Free power) Sasuke would've stopped at Bee. Even after KCM, Kyuubi was still against Naruto and was stealing his chakra. Bottom line is. Sasuke got everything handed to him on a silver plate. While Naruto worked hard. And even when he got something handed to him it always backfired on him.

Naruto mastered SM even though Kyuubi was being a B!tch about it. Naruto turned a curse into a blessing while Sasuke was blessed from the start. Naruto learned rasengan in a week with minimal help. When Sasuke learned Chidori he was being held by his hand even though he's a natural genius.

but did naruto choose to be the jinchuuriki no whats the point in taking about characters without certain abilitys all it shows is that in order for you to make sasuke look superior you need to try and limit naruto
