[Question] The difference between Kakashi and Obitos MS tech...

I have't been able to tell the actual difference between both. My guess is that, Kakashi's MS tech can be used from afar while Obito needs to be in contact with you first. I may be wrong but feel free to correct me.

P.S. I'd also like to know if they are both called Kamui. I remember the first time Obito revealed his MS, he said something like "the true power of kamui" The question here is, if they were seperated for a while, how did they both know it was called kamui?

The name itself is trivial.
And the only difference is how they use kamui.
It is one justu with versatile use.
We can no longer say one uses it for offensive and the other defensive since obito has now used kamui to transport large shurkien and to warp a katon justu to large proportions and after battling obito for quite some time kakashi has begun to copy some of the very same aspects that were thought to be something only obito can do.This is backed up by the fact obito wasn't surprised when kakashi came back from the other dimension,because he knew it was only a matter of time.

since he lacks the uchiha blood.

Thanks bro. This makes me question whether Obito would have had susano if he didn't give his eye to kakashi. I just read a couple of threads some minutes ago talking about how one can get susano and some say it is only those who posses amaterasu and tsukoyomi (forgive my spelling) that can acquire such power. But yet we see Madara using it and he still hasn't shown any sign of amaterasu

Isn't Obito's the KIND OF reverse of Kakashi's? Because if he had both his eyes it would kind of work like that anyway. Obito can use it on himself while Kakashi can use it on objects from afar.

Susano'o is said to be rare, even for MS (which is also rare).. However, I do think it depends on DNA and interlocked eyes (as far as powers go) anyway. So it makes sense that Madara, Itachi, and Sasuke have it. It is very possible that Obito could have had it if he had both eyes.. but it's so hard to say since it's been stated it's so rare in the manga. (not sure where, google what page it's on).

hey its okay kiddo ur alright... but since it hasnt been actually proven who knows..maybe u cant perform amateratsu with Rinnegan.
It says in databook, and by Itachi that you need both Tsukuyomi and Amateratsu to get Susano'o
but he proved it for himself but not everyone proved it... But maybe Shisui could do those 3 great Sharingan abilities
and maybe he couldnt..maybe he could, he just didnt unlock them though....he didnt seem like a guy who would string out a battle....
Itachi always looked into things..maybe Shisui didnt read the scrolls enough or something

yeah obito kamui is close range
kakashi is far away, or at least he could probably use it close up like he did with Pein's Needle

Everything she said and obito also has the whole ability to become intangible as for the how do they both know its called kamui who knows maybe its automatic once you unlock mangekyo you know what its called just like you automatically know how to use it

Remember how Sasuke could send out Amateratsu with one eye and then with the other eye manipulate? I guess it's the same Obito can use it close range with ease and Kakashi can manipulate it with long range and areas
