Naruto is over sentimental, and his way of thinking is too irrational. Naruto goes out his way to cry for a terrorist who started war and committed genocide just because he could relate to obito one or 2 things . Naruto emotion felt so forced it's cringe as hell.

Yeah. Kishi was trying to make Naruto out to be something that was unrealistic. From the moment the child of prophecy crap was introduced, Naruto's character pissed me off.
