The death of Jiraiya.

After rewatching the Pain vs. Jiraiya fight i was reminded of why I disliked Naruto for quite some time after that.
For a greater part of all the battles that took place after that fight its all been DBZ tactics.
Jiraiya was a great character that was killed off.
He used tactics, trained the main character Naruto (hed seriously be garbage without rasengan .-.), without his intel Pain would have GG Narutoverse, and i belive also trained the 4th.
Too much.
