As its been stated Itachi is already dead, so if kabuto releases the jutsu then Itachis soul will return to the perfect world. But that doesn't mean kabuto will die then. I bet sauske will end up offing kabutomaru. And sauske won't get to talk to Itachi and he gets another flick to the head thus driving him further into the shadows. Also the original poster this is more of a manga discussion. Or at least put spoiler tags in your post/ thread title.

Its the very first time the 2 brothers tag team... so in every sense of the word, it is unlikely they will lose... And lets go forget, Sasuke has yet to get hold of the secret scroll which many predicted is the secret to Rinnegan.

Supposedly Itachi dies under Sasuke's hand, Sasuke can use his Rinnegan to revive his brother. Ok thats too far in the chapters if it really do happen.

About the 2 brothers VS Kabuto... i will predict Kabuto will summon more "edo tensei" to fight but ultimately he will need to summon his trump card - Uchiha Madara - to fight Sasuke and Itachi.

Kishi wont let the 2 brothers lose this battle, it will be totally uncool and leaves a black mark on the Uchiha legacy.
