The Dark Side of Hashirama???

Senju and Uchiha were natural rivals from the time of the So6p it has nothing to with them they grew up hating each other, and one thing they could have done about the hokage thing is since they both made the village each generation or after they died they elect a Senju and Uchiha ruler to rule together instead of fueling their hatred

Yeah um the senju and uchiha have always been rivals because remember the so6p had two sons and he ask them how will they find peace one chose "love" the other chose "war" and so6p chose the the younger son who chose "love" to support and the elder brother was angry and each brother made their own clan the one who chose "war" had the so6p eyes was the uchiha and the younger brother who chose "love" made the senju clan Who had the so6p body. This goes to harishima who wanted peace through love and his intentions were pure unlike madara

I have constantly been bothered by the idea that *maybe* Hashirama is not all so Godlike (the way he is made to look). Since we haven't been shown any character development for Hashi... all we keep hearing is "He's STRONG! Great Life Force! Wood Element! First Hokage!... etc". U_U

Madara is not an a$$. He sure has reasons for all that hatred towards Hashirama. Ok, competition is one thing, hatred is something too strong... I guess Hashi did something to fuel his hatred like that. "What did he do?" is my burning question. There is nothing in the Manga that I can use as a basis to clarify anything. :shrug:

Going by the Naruto trend, everybody has personality defects, their share of wrongs, mistakes... It's about time we learn some of Hashi's... If Hashi has a dark side xd I want to see it

Madara was an arrogant son of a b*tch. He thought Hashirama was better than him so Madara hated him for it. That's my best guess.

Anyways, until the manga says otherwise, you are just coming to unfair assumptions. The manga is full of very kind, nearly white-shaded people like Naruto, Kakashi, Hiruzen, and Chouji. Everyone has small faults that makes them not perfect white, but overall the Leaf Villagers have the Will of Fire that greatly overshadows that. You're basically willing to take the word of a prick who looks down on women, kills people for fun with comets, and wants to capture the entire world in a Genjutsu over the Hokages who ALL died to protect those they care about. Madara has no reason or excuse for what he does, and anything you hear from Tobi and him are biased words from losers.

Over the years, the Uchiha had constantly fought with the equally powerful Senju clan and as such, Madara had an undying rivalry with Hashirama Senju, the leader of the Senju clan. To bring an end to the constant fighting, Hashirama approached the Uchiha with an offer of peace. After realising that he would not be able to replace Hashirama as Hokage, Madara began to fear that Hashirama would begin to oppress the Uchiha and tried to rally support for challenging his leadership. Rather than help him, however, the Uchiha turned their backs on Madara, believing he only desired to rekindle the flames of war. Abandoned by his clan, Madara left the village, and sought out Kurama. He later returned in order to challenge Hashirama in battle. They fought at the site that would someday be called the Valley of the End, where Madara was beaten, despite having Kurama at his side. Control of Kurama was ultimately taken from him and Madara was believed to have died. Despite losing the battle, he was able to survive and gain a part of Hashirama's DNA with which he was able to use the Wood Release. Shortly before his death decades later, Madara awakened his own Rinnegan.

Or Madara is just being a sore loser to begin with? The Senju don't have a monopoly. A Namizake became Hokage, so did Sarutobi. The Uchiha held a lot of respect in the village.

By the way, you said that Madara was able to use Wood Release before his death, so how did Kabuto revive Madara past his prime? Everyone said that Kabuto gave Madara Wood.

OT: I agree with many points of this thread. It's not crazy that a good character has a 'dark side'.

...Just look at Naruto, he had a dark side when facing nagato and when he was young.

What I'm saying is, maybe, just maybe Hashirama did go 'rebel' for like a hour.
