Every month we girls suffer the curse, aka period, now on to the actual topic LoL
Sasuke saw his entire clan killed by his brother. Originally he only saught after Itachi for revenge, he was also still kind to others at the time, not killing anyone and being called out on it by Orochimaru. He doesn't go curse of hatred until he finds out the truth about Itachi after Itachi died. Itachi's death didn't cause him to go curse of hatred, originally he was glad to get his revenge, then Tobi fills him in on the truth about Itachi. Did Sasuke go curse of hatred from Itachi's death? Or was it the suffering Itachi had to endure for his entire life and then die never having true happiness?
Sasuke's intent was to kill Itachi and the other person involved in killing the clan. At this point there was no way that Itachi's death would cause him curse of hatred, it's only because he knew the truth later that he was driven to curse of hatred.
Itachi watched his best friend commit suicide for the sake of the village, trusting him to protect the village. Itachi felt true pain and it shows in his Mangekyo Sharingan, yet didn't go curse of hatred. He then killed his entire clan, excluding Sasuke and knowing Sasuke would suffer from this, yet doesn't go curse of hatred. Would he have gone curse of hatred if Sasuke died? At some point in the manga it was believed that Deidara killed Sasuke, and Itachi is shown in the rain with what appears to be tears running down his face, because he believed Sasuke was dead, yet doesn't go curse of hatred and it's revealed later that Sasuke lived.
Madara Uchiha had to fight to protect his family, and had lost a lot of family members. He doesn't go curse of hatred until he loses his brother Izuna in a fight against the Senju. He comes out of it, because of Hashirama, yet turns curse of hatred again from what he read on the monument. Madara also thought that Tobirama would kill off the Uchiha and would not be listened to by anyone in his clan.
The question is are the Uchiha really going curse of hatred from loss of their loved ones? Or is it from something much deeper? Could it be possible that the suffering they know their loved one to go through and then the death of that loved one that truly causes it? Sasuke did suffer a lot, yet it was Itachi's way of protecting Sasuke, Itachi knew this would bring Sasuke strength and it in turn protects him, Itachi believed Sasuke to have a better future and was hoping for it, could this be way Itachi didn't go curse of hatred, because he knew their was still hope for his loved one? Madara believed there was no more hope in a world of never ending conflicts after reading the monument and returned to curse of hatred trying to rid the world of this, if this is the case was he really truly no longer curse of hatred, maybe he had hope for a while, yet without Izuna alive anymore, he had nothing to really make him see things differently meaning curse of hatred was always there underneath, just was brought out again. Izuna had a life of suffering, and the conflicts never ending means this would only continue, leading Madara to curse of hatred once more.
Does it have to do with seeing their loved one suffer that truly brings out curse of hatred? And not just the death of them? If this is true, could one go curse of hatred just from watching their loved one suffer that is still alive? Could they go curse of hatred from wanting to protect their loved one who is still alive?
Is it possible that Indra went curse of hatred from watching a loved one suffer? Because his children had to still be alive otherwise the clan wouldn't still be around. Also he had to of gone curse of hatred and still have a family, would someone still have to look after his children? It couldn't have been his brother, because they become rival clans who never knew about the war between Indra and Ashura unless they awoken the Mangekyo Sharingan, which Madara and Izuna were the first to do this. As far as I can tell the fight between Indra and Ashura also somehow lead their families to disown each other as well, meaning each wife and kids took sides with their husbands (my jealousy LoL, my Indra LoL). Could Indra and Ashura of just killed each other in the battle leaving each family with out them? Indra went curse of hatred, does this mean he stopped caring about his family because of the loss of a certain loved one? We are still unsure who he lost in order to go curse of hatred, but I still think it had to be more than successor to ninshuu, perhaps Indra believed if he was successor to ninshuu he could use in a way similar to how Sasuke used his revolution or Madara and his Eternal Tsukyomi plan.
