The current Hokage

I'm not a Naruto hater at all but it just sucks that the current Kage aren't really that cool because Kishi probably wanted Naruto to overshadow everyone.. None besides Naruto have any cool abilities as you see from some of the previous Kage..

Raikage:
Dariu- nothing special besides black lightening
Ay- incredible speed and lightening cloak.. also has a duo (Bee)
Third Raikage- lightening cloak, 4 finger technique and black lightening

Mizukage:
Chojuro: a legendary swordsman that honestly isn't that cool
Mei: Two kekei genkei user with various unique jutsus in her arsenal
Yagura- jinchuuriki of the three tails
Gengestsu- unspecified kekkei genkei and unique mirage justu

Kazekage:
Gaara- nothing too special after he lost Skikaku.. controls only plain sand
Rasa- kekkei genkai user of magnet release and can use gold dust which outweighs regular sand
Third Raikage- uses Skikaku's unique ability of iron sand

Tsuchikage:
Kurotsuchi- lava release but not very special
Onoki- kekkei tota user of the dust release.. nuff said
Mu- kekkei tota user of the dust release, could split himself into two and become invisible.. he was also one of few to be able to use all 5 nature transformations

My argument is it kind of sucks the current Kage don't really have any cool unique abilities that you see from the previous Kage just because Kishi probably didn't want to have them better than Naruto.. this is where I think Kishi slacked a little.. they are all kind of boring besides Naruto and maybe Gaara

I'm not arguing th hat the Hokages are better I'm saying the current Kages as a whole besides Naruto are pretty bland ability wise in comparison to each's predecessors.. I just think Kishi didn't put much effort into that side because he didn't want them to overshadow Naruto

Yes, but what about to each's predecessors.. most had unique abilities that were somewhat OP at the time.. the current Kage don't have anything besides Naruto in my opinion

A little early to say they don't have any special abilities when we were first introduced the previous laces we really didn't see much of their specialties until the war.

This is the beginning of Boruto so much like in Naruto, they haven't displayed anything special. If they gather to fight again some point toward the end of this installment you will probably see what they can really do. Give Ikemoto time.

I think it's likely they were being groomed to be Kage by attending the Summit. It was meant to be predictable, they were shown to be exceptionally strong as well during war arc.
