In your Opinion, do you think the Uchiha Coup d'etat would have been successful if Itachi and Shisui decided to assist their clan?

I imagine it would be like Orochimaru's attack on Konoha, except less...messy. They would get to a certain point of destruction, then ultimately fail. I can't imagine what Shisui would do were his eye still intact.

No. Konoha combined > Uchiha, even with Itachi and Shisui. Even if the Uchiha were to win, another village would attack and slaughter them or turn Konoha into a puppet state.

These two alone would have decimated more then half of Konoha's shinobi, not to mention the other Uchiha who I cant vouch for...but I think you guys need take this into more consideration.

It's never explicitly stated when Itachi got the Spirit weapons; Shisui didn't have Izanami, you're mistaking it for KA.

And even with that, the Uchiha's would still lose. The sheer amount of ninja's is too much for the Uchiha's to handle.

This is what I meant by If they both were to join their clans. Shisui only lost his eye because Danzo stole it due to him being a member of ROOT, but had he been in the police force instead, I doubt Danzo would have known of Izanami, giving them an amazing edge in battle.

Now Imagine if the same was so for Itachi, it would have been a Konoha massacre IMO.

Shisui doesn't have Izanami.

We don't need to take it into consideration.
Konoha has beasts like Gai, Kakashi, The third hokage at that time, Many anbus Tsunade would join the war...and Jiraiya..and danzo. and many others.

There could be a chance. Shisui could've used Kotoamatsukami to take control of all the villagers. That's why the Uchiha were annoyed of the death of shisui. He was an important pawn for the succeeding of the coup...And itachi slaughtered all the clan in no time...yes, it's highly possible that the coup succeeded.
