I posted the answer to Sasuke's questions..........THE ANSWER! The only thing that stands in the way of Konoha's slaughter at Sasuke's hands, it is the reason for the current existence of the former Hokage and the reason for the existence of the present Shinobi world! It is in Hashirama's own words from his own mouth!

What could be bigger than that? And how and why would I change that in any way?

I think his intentions have never been to side with anyone but he joined with certain groups because their goals aligned slightly.....but I think he will listen to the 1st and maybe talk to hiruzen than Minato before making any decision
