Rigth,the thing that i have found out about the what ramen and naruto and the uzumaki have in common.
Naruto got his name from a flake in ramen
the symbol of the uzumaki is like a spiral line which is excatly the same on the flake in the bowl of ramen which naruto got his name from.meaning that naruto got his name from the flake and the uzumaki got their symbol from the same flake,no wonder naruto loves ramen so much.its like they are connected.lol

Naruto means fishcake in Japanese and it's indeed a sort topping in ramen. Uzumaki means whirlpool, vortex or spiral depending on the context.
Naruto got his name from the main character in one of Jiraiya's books, and the Sannin decided on that name after eating ramen.
The design of the clan doesn't come from the ramen but from the fact that they lived in Uzushiogakure, which means Village hidden by whirling tides and was located in the Land of Whirlpools. So while Naruto got his name through a character, based on the ramen toppings, Uzumaki doesn't have anything to do with the ramen, but with the surrounding nature of the village where this clan came from
