Once again I must urge you to read the previous chapter(s) to keep up with the story. This chapter has my first battle and it wasn't easy figuring out how to do it. It almost costed me more blood, more sweat and more tears than usual so I hope you guys like it! 
Chapter 3 : Team Jiraiya assemble ! The test of a Legendary Sannin!
A week passed since Minato, Kazumi and Masato passed the test together. Izumi, the teacher of Minato’s class went to the Hokage office to talk to the Third about putting Minato in a special group.
Izumi: Really Hokage-sama, this child is incredible if you consider his age and the standard teachings we give at the academy. He’s only 10 and he’s already learned basic Nature Manipulation and Shape Manipulation from his father. He can cover his whole arm in Lightning Chakra!
Sarutobi: Indeed, this child sounds like a child prodigy. One that only comes along once in so many decades. I have the right teacher in mind for him and the two Genin’s who will be in his team. Hopefully he can teach these children how to become fully pledged shinobi’s that use all their skills to live for the village.
Izumi: Yes Hokage-sama, I will appoint him to the one you desire. But who will be the other two team members?
Sarutobi: Let’s go over the list and see who’s fit, Izumi-chan.
Two days after the conversation between Izumi and the Hokage, the Genins were called to the academy to make 4-man teams and to train before the missions. Only if they passed the test put up by their Jounin superiors would they be able to really call themselves Shinobis. As the list came closer to the end, Minato was still not picked, until…
Izumi: Our next team will have to follow me immediately, without any questions asked. Minato Namikaze, Kazumi Kashi and Masato Barutendo.
Kushina curiously looked at them while they passed by.
Kushina *to herself*: Why are they going somewhere else… Did they do something wrong…? Oh crap, Minato is looking this way!
Kushina looked away when her eyes met Minato’s. As always, he had a gentle, sweet and adorable look on his face.
Kushina *to herself*: Well, he might be cute, but… Well… He’s still a Flaky Girl looking type, get yourself together Kushina!
Minato, Kazumi and Masato were thrilled to be together in a team, but terrified at the same time as they seemed to be the only ones that had to follow Izumi-sensei to another room. Upon arriving to the room all three of them stopped and were bedazzled when they saw who was waiting there.
Sarutobi: Welcome children. I’m sorry that you had to leave your classmates when the teams were being sorted, but I have a special request for your three.
Hearing these words, Minato, Kazumi and Masato turned very serious and listened carefully to what he had to say.
Sarutobi: Well, I had a little talk with Izumi-sensei and it seems you three are a peculiar threesome…
Masato: Hokage-sama, it was the cat’s fault, honestly! We had nothing to do with the swing that broke down two weeks ago!
Sarutobi: Ermm, what are you talking about Masato?
Kazumi: Shut up Masato, that’s not why we’re here!
Masato: Uhhmm… Aaahmmm…. Nevermind, carry on Hokage-sama.
Sarutobi: Right… Despite Masato his ability to make up great excuses during the heat of punishment, you three all have interesting abilities. I’ve heard you three are good friends and in addition to these abilities, I think you would form an excellent team!
Minato, Kazumi and Masato we’re extremely happy when they heard this. Minato was shooting lightning spark out of his fingers as if he was shooting guns, Kazumi was doing some weird 80’s dancing move and Masato… Well Masato was doing a weird kind of chicken-like dance.
Sarutobi: Well right, seems like I can be off and you can be assigned to your new Jounin-in-command.
Minato: Excuse me, Hokage-sama, but what are these abilities you are talking about, and who will be our team leader?
Sarutobi: Well Minato… To summon it up, Kazumi appears to be able to sense other people’s chakra’s around her, if I’m not mistaking. Right, Kazumi?
Kazumi: Well… Yes, that’s true Hokage-sama.
Sarutobi: Masato is young but already controls some of the Akimichi clan secrets. Isn’t that true, Masato?
Masato: Indeed Hokage-sama!
Sarutobi: As for you Minato, as for you… Well… It’s been a while since someone has surprised Izumi-sensei with a Nature Manipulation trick, on the graduation exam like you did. Someone rushed through the door and seemed to be breathing heavily and sweating. He seemed to have just ran a marathon.
?: Sorry for being late Old Geezer, I had some… Investigation to do.
Sarutobi sighed as he knew that his student would never change his ways and use the same old excuse, every single time.
Sarutobi: As usual. I’ve just talked to your team and I hope you’ll take good care of them Ji-.
Masato: O MY GOD, JIRAIYA-SAMA IS GOING TO BE OUR TEAM CAPTAIN? YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!
Sarutobi: Oh boy, I’m out of here before I get overrun by three overexited 10 year olds. Later perverted apprentice, who’s the old geezer now! HAHA!
Sarutobi vanished as he said the words and a small gust of wind with leaves in it was all that remained.
Jiraiya: AlRIGHT, SHUT YOUR SHOUTING HOLES!
All of them were silent at once, but you could see the enthusiasm radiating from them.
Jiraiya: Right, you three probably already know me. Introduce yourselves while we go to the training ground!
While they went to the training ground they introduced themselves and joked around. Once they entered the training ground Jiraiya spoke.
Jiraiya: Right. Minato, Kazumi and Masato, today we’ll have a little test to see if you can be my students.
Minato: And what is the test about? What do we need to do?
Jiraiya: I was getting to that Minato. The test is to get these bells separated from me. Now, this wont be easy, but I expect that you come at me with all you have. If you don’t come at me with the intent to kill, you won’t get it off me. Right, I’m off. Catch me if you can!
With that, he vanished just as the Hokage did. Minato and Kazumi were cursing because it wasn’t fair that they had to fight a Sannin to complete the test.
Minato: Damnit! Why a Sannin!
Kazumi: You can say that again, blimey!
Masato:Guys! We need to work as a team, we can do this!
They agreed with Masato and put their heads together and made a tactic to get the bells from Jiraiya.
Minato: Right, let’s do this! Scatter!
Masato and Kazumi: Right!
Kazumi hid in a tree and focused around her. When she tried to sense someone’s chakra she felt totally at ease. Everything around her seemed so much more alive, so vivid. All of a sudden she felt a little change in chakra around 200 meters west of her.
Kazumi: Found you Jiraiya-sama! Minato, Masato, he’s 200 meters west of here! Get into place!
Minato: Let’s go!
The three of them moved to where Jiraiya was. They spotted him behind a tree, peeking around.
Masato: Alright, let’s do this.
They opened the attack.
Masato: Partial Multi-Size Technique!
Masato came from smashed the tree from behind, leaving nothing but tiny fragments of wood scattered around in the air. Jiraiya managed to jump up in the air away.
Kazumi: AS IF I’D LET YOU! PAINFUL SKY LEG TECHNIQUE!
Blinded by the sun from above Jiraiya wasn’t able to dodge the kick, but he blocked it. Not that it mattered much because Kazumi kicked him with a strenght that was equal to that of a young Tsunade.
Jiraiya: How was she able to use that technique?!
As Jiraiya fell down he noticed Minato on the ground as he did some handseals. He was surrounded by two clones. He focussed on the Minato but heard Kazumi and Masato call something out.
Minato:Do it you guys!
Masato and Kazumi: Shadow Clone Technique!
Masato and his clone did the Partial Multi-Size Technique and slammed Jiraiya back in the air while Kazumi and her clone slammed him back down. Minato’s clone on the left side threw him in the air while he charged his attack.
Minato:It’s time to end this! Here we go! Lightning Release: Fingerblades!
As Jiraiya looked down, he saw Minato flying up and finally realised why that old geezer put Minato in his team. To make a technique of his own on this age, this boy was truly a genius. But that did not mean that Jiraiya would let him do as he want. Playtime was over.
Jiraiya: TIME TO GET REAL, HAAA!
He threw some nearly invisible threads in three directions. Towards Kazumi, Minato and Masato. He prepared his handseals and released his blazing attack.
Jiraiya: Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!
The threads caught fire and the bursts moved at their targets with great speed. All Masato and Kazumi managed to avoid it, but of Minato was no sight as his second clone threw a smoke bomb where minato was.
Minato: Do you think that would get me? HIIIYAAAAAAAAA!
Minato seemed to have avoided the thread Jiraiya threw at him and rushed to his sensei with his new technique charged up.
Masato: Get him Minato!
Kazumi: Look out Minato, he’s charging up his chakra for another attack!
Minato was just about to cut the bells of Jiraiya with his attack. He would have succeeded if Jiraiya did not react in time.
Jiraiya: I’ve got a new technique that you probably haven’t seen before children! Needle Jizō!
Minato: Aaargh, what is that?!
Jiraiya covered himself in a cape of needles that seemed to be his hair in an expanded form. It covered his entire body and Minato’s technique appeared to be inferior to this one.
Minato: Damnit, we were so close! Masato, Kazumi, time for plan B!
Masato:and Kazumi: Alright! Let’s go!
Jiraiya seemed to have heard this ended his technique. He looked at Masato and Kazumi who pointed at something behind him.
Minato: Sexy Technique!
Minato changed into a very attractive woman, who seemed to not care about clothes as the smoke surrounded her more private bodyparts.
Minato: Can I touch your bells pleaseeee, mister?
Jiraiya yelled in astonishment and fell on his back, his nose bleeding heavily. Masato, Minato and Kazumi cheered. They finally had the bells!
Minato: Haha, we got you Jiraiya-sensei! I heard Hokage-sama say you’re a pervert before he left! We figured that if our attacks were fended off we could try this and see if it worked!
Masato: And it did! Hahahaha, that’s what you get for being a pervert, Jiraiya-sensei!
Kazumi: Hahaha, pervert! Pervert!
Jiraiya got up and laughed as hard as the three did. They went back to the city, accepted by Jiraiya as his pupils.
Jiraiya: These kids have a great potential as a team, that much is obvious. Maybe one of them could be the child of the prophecy…
