Three years after the death of Toshiro's parents, Toshiro graduated from the ninja academy as a regular old Genin. He was assigned to Team 6, under the lead of Raido Shiranui (father of Genma Shiranui). The murders of his parents largely forgotten, or, rather, blocked out of his memory, Toshiro was content. His teammates were Hizashi Hyuga (father of Neji Hyuga) and Mikoto Uchiha (mother of Sasuke Uchiha).
The day after academy graduation, Team 6 had its first meeting. It was on the roof of a building.
Toshiro stood next to Mikoto, across from Raido. Raido simply stood smiling with a goofy grin on his face, not saying a word. "When's Hizashi going to get here?" Toshiro whispered to Mikoto.
"How am I supposed to know! You know he's always late... he was always late even to class. The only way he passed was because of his byakugan...." answered Mikoto.
Raido dropped his grin for a moment, and changed to a somewhat quizzical look. "What're you two talking about? O_O" He asked. "Is it about me? O_O"
"No, sensei." responded Mikoto somewhat blandly.
?Phew,? Raido responded with a sigh, ?I was worried there for a second?.?
Mikoto and Toshiro just stared at him, in a little disbelief.
?What,? said Raido.
Just then, Hizashi walked up with a small smile on his face.
?There you are, baka!!? yelled Mikoto. ?Where?ve you been?!??
Hizashi looked a little shocked for a moment, and stuttered ?Nowhere. O_O?
Toshiro interjected, ?You were looking in on the women?s changing rooms with that Jiraiya guy again, weren?t you??
?No?.? said Hizashi, looking away for a moment.
?Jiraiya?s such a pervert? he?ll never become a strong ninja,? stated Mikoto.
?Ahem...? coughed out Raido, ?Well, then, Team 6, welcome!? He stated proudly, with a grin on his face.
Hizashi grinned back a little for a second, and then looked at his teammates around him. They were just staring. Hizashi quickly dropped his grin.
