Okay, so it's saying Sasuke was the child of prophecy. WHich is bullsh*t. Nagato was the child of prophecy, then later Minato, Naruto, Naruto again, In theory KIller Bee, IN practice Obito, and with a bit of reverse temporal engineering, Neji. It's a super exclusive title.

Neither prophecy mentioned Rinnegan, or for that matter, Sasuke.
Prophecy one: Young boy calls out names of the beasts and plays with them. THat's clearly Naruto getting RSM.
Prophecy Two: You will make a choice, and your student will kill everyone or un-kill everyone. That's either Naruto, or Nagato. Or Minato. It could easily be all three
Prophecy Three: Because you were wrong: You will meet an octopus who will train you to fight a young man with strong eyes. Obviously talking about Sasuke there, but really, it's more likely meant to be Obito. Or if you use time travel, Neji. Or you could say that since Madara only came back to life for a few hours, he's young. Or pretty much anything, really.

At least it makes it seem like Sasuke achieved something. He's the only one on Team 7 without any aliases without that.

And yeah I agree it's grasping at straws and is most likely just flavor text. And that every prophecy made by the Great Toad Sage came true.
