I believe you are right, but I know Wei Wuxian from 'Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation' or 'Mo Dao Zu Shi' which I think is just an alternative name of Untamed.

It did feel a bit too forced but ye overall it wasn't too bad. I do enjoy Wei's character design though :)

I have read that too after watching the series. But I don't like to type such long titles when a short one can suffix. 💃 Besides I first saw the live action series and it was titled, Untamed.

If I like a show or a movie based on a book, I try to read it if possible.

Yep, I understand. I was just making sure I had the series correct. xD I have seen snippets of the live action, but not a whole lot. I like to do the same, but I also struggle with reading through parts I have seen or knowing what's going to happen.

I really like Wuxia/Xianxia fiction. There is a lot of Donghua out there that is really nice to watch. But like most series, they tend to cut out a lot from the novels, which is a bit of a bummer. But I find it hard to get through the novel once I start watching because of the bits I have already seen and knowing the overall story.

Its like being stuck between a rock and a hard place 😅

I watched with subtitles too, but when I saw it first, incidently, it was a Hindi dub.

I like Wuxia too, but good ones are not easy to find. Untamed follows the novel for the most part. There are some small changes to suit the live version, but they didn't touch the main story nor changed the characters.

Thousand Autumns was really good, at least the Donghua was.
Coiling Dragon is heavily recommended, I haven't read this one yet but its available on amazon kindle.

I think I already suggested a few Xianxia novels in a previous post so you have a small list now haha

Alright, SO... this Game of Thrones story... is watching it or reading it a better experience?

Books, of course but the show is amazing, I've heard. I've yet to watch it because of the explicit stuff. Not really into the sexual stuff. More of a gore kinda person but I'm close to giving into it just for the overall good story. I've heard too many good things about it for literal years.

I get you, that's also what kept me away from it initially. Lately my youtube shorts have been pumped with clips of that dwarf character who seems pretty cool and it piqued my interest. Throughout the years, I've heard people say season 8 this and season 8 that which is why I was wondering whether I should watch or read.
