Perhaps it's an indicator that the dimension they are in is a Kaguya construct and not the normal real world.

Kinda like the spinning top from the movie Inception. In the regular world, a spinning top would eventually stop spinning and fall over, in the dream world, a spinning top would keep spinning forever.

Perhaps the key to escaping lies in that castle as well. Just look at the way Sakura is pointing at it.

Perhaps she was the princess of that castle and that castle was from her old homeland

The next arc actually has nothing to do with the war. After Kaguya/BZ are defeated, they're in the other dimension trying to find a way back and end the IT jutsu. It may become a "part 3" is the fan idea at the moment....
