[Discussion] The Byakugan

So, it is finally the time that we get to see what the Byakugan is really made of.

The last time we really saw the Byakugan was in Part I during the Chuunin exams and during Neji's fight with one of the Sound Ninjas. Since then, we really haven't seen the full extent of what the eye can do besides enhanced range of vision and whatever Neji has shown to be able to do. Once Itachi was seen again in Part I entering the village it really focused more on the Sharingan and less on the Byakugan. That's is understandable as one of the main characters (not counting Kakashi) holds a Sharingan and we would more than likely see that ocular power. We still got glimpses of the Byakugan, but it really became overshadowed once the Sharingan and MS were introduced in more detail.

Going into Part II of the anime we still were given more aspects of the Sharingan, but we were also introduced to the Rinnegan, which then took on a big aspect in the ocular world as we had never seen or heard of it before. However, we didn't lose sight (get it?) of the Sharingan, but we were now more interested in what the Rinnegan could do and less on what the Sharingan and MS could do. This, once again, left the Byakugan in the shadows and made it seem like less of a powerful ocular tool and more of just something someone has.

However, I believe that we will finally see what the Byakugan is truly made of now that Kaguya has been revived. There has to be something very special about this eye as she could have kept Madara's Rinnegan however, chose to destroy the eye as well and use her own eyes, the Byakugan. Frankly, it's about time that we learn more about what this eye can do. I for one am not really impressed with it anymore and it really doesn't live up to what the Sharingan, MS, EMS and Rinnegan could do, so I hope we get to see finally what it can do.

u just say this cuz it`s kaguya.. if it were someone else you`d call him trash.
just like madara fans. i bet today more than 50% of madara fans changed their madara avatars with kaguya avatars and til the end of day, they opened also a church for her. you should look better at her eyes. they look gruesome. it`s the most evil look i see at a byakugan user.. kishi really knew how to draw her. nevertheless, it`s the only doujutsu that has nothing in common with the juubi. so it`s kishi`s chance to make hinata sparkle in all the fodder dust.

maybe it`s one way of kishi to tell us HOW COMPLETE kaguya is. we know sharingan and rinnegan, and rinnegan that could contain sharingan through evolving, like the one who died today, yeah, madara i was talking about, madara the goner, and or by simply have them both sharingan and rinnegan in 1 eye which is better in my oppinion, you don`t need to switch from 1 to another like madara did when he was edo tensei so he could use the genjutsu, and having byakugan in her normal eyes, in 1 word, having all 3 doujutsus.

i would say that in a pannel after she says they should stop fighting, in the next pannel when we see her from her left from an up 45* angle that expresion is like she`s disgusted by humanity. and she looks... demented... there was a time when i used nicknames like insanitas or dementia, meaning mental insanity and instability.. that`s how i see her.

Well, the same could have been said for the Sharingan. All the Sharingan was known for at the time was the ability to copy other people's ninjutsu and perform genjutsus however, that went to a whole new level when the MS and EMS were shown. We really haven't been given the same time to learn about the Byakugan as we've been with the Sharingan, so of course nothing "special" came about them. The question still stands as to why have her use the Byakugan, that most people would agree wasn't anything special in Part I, to fight Naruto and Sasuke. Especially when Sasuke holds a rather powerful Rinnegan/Sharingan type eye.

Yeah, I guess we'll finally see something you can ONLY do with a Byakugan. Who knows? Maybe the Sharingan has all the byakugan's abilities simply because of the names "Byakugan-White Wheel"; "Sharingan-Copy Wheel". The Sharingan could just be a sideways progression from the Byakugan. I'm sure the link between all the occular kinjutsu will be made simple soon. Still, I can't help but to get excited about what this might mean for Hinata's overall importance.

that makes no sense. why would masashi bother himself to make it a separate doujutsu ? u don`t get it ? she had byakugan from the start where rinnegan and sharingan descended from the juubi. at least at this point THIS IS the only relevant theory. you can`t just come without ANY PROOF to even bother predict something else. you`ll just get scolded by angry fans and anti-trollers.

I hope Kaguya shows off that Byakugan at full power.

i also want naruto to tell her someone with a byakugan it`s trapped in it and she should have mercy of that person, but i don`t expect that since we saw how indifferent she was about her own sons and grandchildrens when she spoke their names.

i`m happy. and about hinata, if she has byakugan, it`s obvious she has a conection with kaguya. a small one, but it has. look at naruto, how hagoromo`s power got to him. hagoromo`s power splited into senju and ucicha, transcended from one to another, and even if not senju but distant relatives, and got the senju power. maybe hyuuga are also distant relatives of kaguya..

it must be super strong. rinnegan is considered most powerful ocular power abd its first owner hogoromo was born from kaguya. so her eyes should be more powerfull
