IMO The Byakugan seems meagre before the Sharingan and Rinnegan

THE BYAKUGAN-

You must be registered for see images

-Byakugan can see in chakra system
-Enables jyuken usage
-Can see through solid objects
-See to a large distance.


ENTER THE MS-

Along comes Itachi and introduces the MS and other MS users enter the scene.This introduces all the solo jutsus

-Susano's
-Tsukiyomi
-Kamui
-Amaterasu
-KA
-Intangibility
-Ability to control the kyuubi
-Sharingan can see the chakra flow(a trait mostly attributed to the byakugan).
-Distinguish chakra by its color(Another characterstic of the Byakugan)
-It can also see through dust.


ALONG COMES THE RINNEGAN-

The Ridokou's eyes.It grants even more awesome powers than the sharingan.Hell,it can even bring back the dead!
A completely new ocular jutsu but still stemming from the sharingan

We also see that the Sharingan and Rinnegan played a really significant part in shaping the history of NV.

-Also the sharingan,mangekyou sharingan and rinegan can enable one to read the Ridokou's stone tablet while the Byakugan can't do jack in this department.

-While the sharingan got amazing powerups and even the byakugan's many characterstics the byakugan laid in the dust.

-To compensate for this IMO,kishi made Kaguya use a lot of Byakugan but everyone knows that do stuff that she did with it required god level chakra which no Hyuuga has ever had,or will ever have.

Simply put,the byakugan need big powerups(can't see that happening).It was a good doujutsu that should have been more focused on and granted more significance..

Yeah, I agree. A doujutsu that was supposed to be so great turned out to be.... very weak in comparsion
with the other great eyes. That is not to say that it sucks, as it is still powerful and very useful for anybody
that doesn't possess the sharingan or rinnegan already. But yeah... really falls short. I guess that's what happens
when the author decides he no longer cares about a certain ability.

Indeed the byakugan fell short of expectations.

I'm guessing he did not know what else to give it.

He should have done something like Buddha hands or extra invisible hands or that monk thing Asuma did. Or stronger palm pushes with a gravitation force like in Kung fu hustle.

But they're very different. Sharingan and Rinnegan comes from the Sage, Byakugan comes from his brother. Speculating, the Sharingan and Rinnegan stem from the chakra fruit, while Kaguya probably already had the Byakugan. Anyway, it's got nothing to do with Uchiha's, so obviously Kishi gives no shits.

This would have been cool though. Maybe if we get to know more about the Sage's brother, this can still be a possibility?

I'm just really sick of how the Uchiha and Senju clans are the most important. Naruto and Sasuke get all the power ups. The Kaguya battle would have been 100x cooler if she'd unlocked some ultimate Byakugan or something.

The Hyuga get nothing. The other villages get nothing. Everyone is destined to be fodder besides the Uchiha/Senju.
