I don't want to get into the genjutsu argument because it can go either way. One could argue that since Neji would be seeing Sasuke's eyes, even with his own eyes clothes, that he could fall into a genjutsu. We don't really know since it hasn't been seen though.

Like you said, Amaterasu would hit Neji. Neji would not be able to push the flames off of him because Ama burns chakra. Neji body blow is not the same as Shinra Tensei. ST is straight up repulsion. If Neji is hit then the fight is over. And with rotation, Ama would keep burning while Neji spins. It isn't just going to disappear. Neji would trap himself in a black flame tornado. Look at how the spider webs from Kimmimaro affected Rotation. Now substitute the adhesion of the webs with raw fire power. Neji would screw himself over.

With Susanoo... Air palm wouldn't work. It isn't a precision technique. It has never been shown to close chakra points, it pushes air with great force. Even if Neji could affect Susanoo by hitting it with gentle fist (which I doubt) , if Neji got too close to Sasuke then he is dead. Susanoo is too fast and has a much greater range than a normal human strike.

All in all, Neji would have a hard time against even base Sasuke. Sasuke is faster than Neji and has a lot in his arsenal in terms of long range combat. Neji is just too much of a close range fighter and he only has one mid range technique that is easily dealt with.

the byakugan can tell the changes of chakra so it will know when a tech is about to be used so the byakugan user can prepare a defensive jutsu.

Yes but Neji isn't fast enough to dodge it anyway. I had edited my post to deal with Rotation. Here it is.

You haven't addressed the fact that Sasuke knows kinjutsu. Also, Sasuke's Amaterau arrow is much quicker than Neji can form the rotation and let's say that he does the arrow's piercing power would destroy his rotation and most likely his arms or wherever Sasuke aims. Plus Sasuke coats his Susanoo attacks in Amaterasu so when the attack connects it would burn Neji to ashes. Also, Amaterasu forms wherever the user is looking so if Sasuke aims at Neji it would attach to Neji because Neji can't create his rotation that quickly not to mention Neji is not as fast as the Raikage. Sasuke uses his genjutsu more as a paralysis than to entrap his enemies so Neji being able to see the gengutsu would be pointless since all Sasuke needs is a few seconds(about 10) as shown in the fight with Danzo. Neji would be on the defensive for the whole fight because his byakugan just can't compare to MS or EMS.

1. Agreed.
2.Yes, but Neji is an expert in the most powerful Taijutsu of konoha, and his 100 + palm would be hard for sharingan to follow
3.Another point in Sasukes favour, but Neji can try and block his chakra network.
4.Can he still activate that?

The CS argument is invalid. He doesn't have it anymore. Don't take that into account.

Base sasuke has no way of penetrating Neji's defense, and his vision pales in comparison.

Base Sasukes long range attacks won't work, and Neji's Taijutsu is superior to Sasukes' completely.

The Chaka is released from his body, the chakra will be burnt by the amaterasu, I already said this but the chakra will still raise the amaterasu from his skin due to the rate at which amaterasu burns.

Vacuum palm is not air, and does use precision.

Neji's palm techs are extremely fast, but as I said he can try to disrupt susanoo from a distance.

The amaterasu would burn the chakra but the chakra itself gets dispersed from Neji's body.

the heavenly rotation deflects the attack so amerterasu would land somewhere else and byakugan user would have enough time to prepare when he see's the change in chakra.

i agree with all of this, and this is considering that Neji counters would work in the first place. +rep

People need to just accept the fact that Neji doesn't stand a chance against the higher tier ninjas. He is a good ninja, that is it. Kakashi would kick his ass back to the academy, and people think he can take on Sasuke?

Your argument was ok. You had the right ideas of what can counter what but you didn't use them accurately enough. When I make my thread you will see what I mean, your points can be argued against. To make a thread like this you have to take the arguments and counter them if you say this can beat this then then the counter argument will follow. The way you did it will cause debates the way I will do it is people will either agree or disagree due to fan boyism.

It's really hard to explain but I will make my thread and post it one day not soon because people are getting sick of neji can beat sasuke threads so I will do it on a day when most people are bored and not sick of these threads.

Sharingan genjutsu can activate by the target looking into the users eyes. If Neji can see Sasuke's eyes then he can be placed in a genjutsu. The byakugan actually hurts Neji in this case. He can't help but to see Sasuke's eyes with his near 360 degree vision.

Sasuke is faster than Neji. Neji would be on the defensive and if he gets to close, he will be hit by chidori. Sasuke was able to dodge and strike Raikage Ay by predicting his moves with the sharingan. Neji is nowhere near as fast as Ay. Oh yea, Sasuke has a sword. If Neji goes in for a gentle fist attack, sharingan plus kenjutsu leaves a stubby Neji.

If Ama connects, Neji can't do anything about it. It'll be like adding fuel to the fire is he tries to push it away with chakra. It isn't the same as ST, which is basically gravitational force control.

Show me where vacuum palm can attack chakra points.

Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm
Name
Kanji 八卦空掌
Rōmaji Hakke Kūshō
Literal English Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm
English TV Eight Trigrams Air Palm
Classification Kekkei Genkai, Taijutsu
Class Offensive
Range Short to Mid range

This technique is similar in practice to Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven, but has a specific target rather than a general area. To perform it, the user precisely pinpoints the enemy's vital points with the Byakugan and releases a high-speed palm thrust. A "vacuum shell" compressed using the Gentle Fist is formed to attack the opponent's vitals from a distance, blowing them off their feet with tremendous force before they even notice they were hit.

It has a SPECIFIC TARGET. It does not attack chakra points. It hits a person with a vacuum shell to hit vital areas (chest, GI area) not chakra points. It is useless against Susanoo.

Naruto fights are all about matchups. As far as the OP's argument is concerned, neji stands a credible chance. You are aware that he re-directed an arrow web before with just pure chakra. I see no reason with good timing he can't do it again. Amaterasu is useless against him, tsukoyomi is useless, and susanoo can be broken if he targets the weak spots.

1. Neji is completely superior to Sasukes three tomoe only enhanced battle strategies, rotation deals with Sasukes Ken, as well as gentle fist.

2.The Move seems to require prep, even thought the prep time is not large it is large enough to be significant, Neji's rotation failed to defend against this attack is not backed at this time, so far nothing has penetrated it.

3.Neji has mid range attacks.

4. Amaterasu moves rapidly to what is being focused on, it is a fast projectile and I am assuming it is the fastest katon for this argument so that I can be as fair as possible to Amaterasu's hype.

5. In this argument I do not suggest that Neji can end Sasuke's genjutsu but instead prevent himself from being put under it, by closing his eyes and using x-ray vision to see through his eye lids.

6. He needs to find the weakness in Sasukes susanoos chakra flow, then attack it, after the susanoo loses form he needs to either end the fight as quickly as possible (fatal heart blow gentle fist), or stop susanoo from being summoned again, chakra network attack, chakra blocking, Eight Trigrams 64 Palms.

Hmm it says it "precisely pinpoints the enemy's vital points with the byakugan" sounds perfect for battling susanoo.

Well the way A attacked Sasuke is different if you examine the scan, A starts his charge from a distance with an elbow thrust giving Sasuke more time to see it, analyse it and dodge, he fails to dodge A again after that.

Bee was not using v1 or v2 when but just really fast kenjutsu when sasuke was unable to follow his attacks and was bested.

So really to overwhelm sharingan it's not about one really really fast attack, but about numerous really fast ones.

64 palm is numerous rapid attacks.

neji could just hit sasuke pressure point in a taijutsu match and close his chakra point if they engage close up, amerterasu then use heavenly rotation, tyskuoyomi you can just disrupt your chakra and susanno avoid and use defense of heavenly rotation.

plus rep

Thanks xd

lol we aren't talking about 3-tomoe Sasuke. And Neji can deal with Chidori-Nagashi on the fly? No he can't. Neji can not harm Sasuke so get that straight. And Susanoo is nearly instantaneous so how would Neji stop that. Also, you do realize that you can use jutsu's while in Amaterasu right. And closing your eyes to have 360 degrees? How does that even make sense. Show us proof where Neji can see 360 degrees with his eyes closed. Maybe I missed it. Also, Neji is not as fast as Raikage so all of his attacks would be in slow motion for Sasuke's EMS. And nothing has been penetrated because all enemies that have gone up against it have had to dodge it or use Kamui(even Kakashi said that he had to use Kamui or else shit would've gotten serious). You fanboys try to make Neji unbeatable(when it comes to Sasuke) but Sasuke took out about 10 or more Zetsu clones by himself on one day(when he got his EMS) while Neji was getting slapped around by Zetsu on the FIRST day of the war. C'mon son, Neji will never be able to beat EMS or MS or CSM2 Sasuke. Just stop. You guys are embarrassing yourselves.

So you are comparing the golden arrow to a Susanoo arrow I see. There is a vast difference. Neji cannot redirect it with just chakra. It took Danzo an out of control Mokuton jutsu to change Sasuke's arrows course.

Rotation is useless against Amaterasu. It would just spin the flames around him, and they would eat away at the rotation until they hit Neji. This is considering that Neji starts the rotation before Ama is released.

Like I said before, the Tsuko argument can go either way. One could say that since Sasuke can't see Neji's eyes that it is useless, or that since Neji can't help but see Sasuke's eyes he is caught in the genjutsu.

1: The arrow can still be redirected. There's no reason why it cannot be redirected with enough chakra.

2: The rotation stops amaterasu in its course, its not going to continue its direction while being spun around him. Get this even if it does hit him he can just use his chakra to blast it off him like pain did(except pain used a different move but its the same concept)

3: Tsukoyomi needs eye sight to be used. If he closes his eyes it can't be used against him.

4: The fight can go either way. If neji catches sasuke off guard while he is in susanoo, he can have enough time to disrupt it. The hilarious thing is your not even taking into consideration if sasuke is able to use susanoo or not. Neji can close your chakra off. Besides that susanoo isn't going to crush through pure chakra. It was said that neji's defense is even greater then gaara's.

1. Sharingan's predictive qualities aid Sasuke in close quarters. It would be an interesting fight, but it isn't hard to move an inch to avoid a chakra point hit. Also, chidori manipulations keep Neji on his toes. Sasuke dodged the Raikage. Ay>>>>>>> Neji in speed.

2. Nothing has penetrated Rotation huh? Well in the chunin exams, Naruto's Nine tailed power up kunai was enough to cause damage to Neji with its force. Susanoo's arrow is much faster and much more powerful.

3.Useless against Susanoo. Sasuke has mid range attacks that are better. Neji is best in very close range.

4. It has been said to be instant (like S/T jutsu) but has been shown, in the anime to move just really fast. Idk but I'm going with Zetsu and databook. It goes to where the eye focuses so it is as fast as the person's eye.

5. I have already given my opinion multiple times on this. It can go either way.

6. He finds the weakness, moves in to attack it, and then gets crushed because Susanoo is too fast and powerful. Sasuke won't be twiddling his thumbs while Neji attacks the weak points in Susanoo.

1. Neji would not have enough chakra to disrupt the arrow. He would need a huge amount and very precise timing. Even if he did, this would leave him drained and vulnerable.

2. The flames will continue to burn while Neji spins. Once he stops spinning, he will get burned by the existing flames or Sasuke could just use it again. You can't compare pushing raw chakra to ST or else everybody wouldn't have been so on edge about Deva Path. It is gravity manipulation. That is why Nagato was able to push the flames off. Neji can't do the same.

3. Like I said, it can go either way. If Neji sees Sasuke's eyes, then he has eye contact with Sasuke.

4. Naruto was able to apply enough force to Neji's rotation during the chunin exams to cause great damage to Neji. Susanoo is much stronger. Neji's rotation isn't going to be able to resist all that force. Also, don't underestimate the sharingan. Sasuke is faster than Neji so he can dodge in close quarters. If Susanoo is up, Neji is dead.

ps. Tenten said that Neji's defense was better than Gaara's. She was wrong. Gaara's sand uses little chakra and he can cover his entire body if he wants. Rotation uses a great deall of chakra and can't be used constantly.

*Sigh* this is getting old. EMS Sasuke>Neji. Get over it. Susanoo isn't just chakra, it's a monstrous armored ethereal being.

Neji's vacuum palm that you people keep mentioning doesn't attack the chakra points, it attacks the vital points, which are different. And it wouldn't even get through since Sasuke has susanoo.

Neji's a close range fighter and he's not getting anywhere near Sasuke, so it's pretty much impossible for him to win. Neji relies on disrupting the opponents chakra flow to win and the only way for him to accomplish that is to attack the opponents chakra points and for that he needs to be engaged in taijutsu and Sasuke who's a mid to long range fighter would never allow him to get that close.

He's got plenty of ways of preventing it such as flying on his hawk, chidori nagashi, susanoo and etc.

Sasuke simply has too much power for Neji to handle and his fighting style is the perfect counter to Neji.
