The first arc of the Anime was approved by Kishimoto.

Apparently it is confirmed in the video that "Kishimoto sensei is involved in the original story (the academy days story that Boruto begins) of Boruto anime. Kishimoto sensei has looked at and approved everything. "

One of the known translators said this:

"I just watched the Naruto to Boruto TV special that aired yesterday, and I can confirm this, though I wouldn't go so far as to say he's "involved" in the original story.
They had Hiroyuki Honda from the Weekly Shonen Jump Editorial Department as one of the guests. About 2/3rds of the way through they talk to him about it being an anime original story, and he says, "It's a story that can only be seen in the weekly anime." They then ask him if Kishimoto-sensei is involved, and he says that Kishimoto-sensei checks everything and gives the story an OK before it's broadcast.
That said, Ukyo Kodachi, who co-wrote the film with Kishimoto and writes the script for the manga, is credited as Story Supervisor for the anime."

Basically: The Last
Basically confirms that The Boruto manga writer and and Kishimoto are involved in the anime all of it not just certain arcs . That's why it can be considered canon and not near filler . Just forget filler in boruto anime . It's all canon and that's that .
Everything happening and will happen ACTUALLY HAPPENS IN CANON TIMELINE.
