Have you watched Sherlock? He managed to defeat MORIARTY. PROFESSOR MORIARTY. Moriarty broke into some of the most high security establishments in the UK. Yet he lost to sherlock holmes. (And we don't even know how yet!)

Doesn't matter. L may be smart, but he doesn't utilize THE SCIENCE OF DEDUCTION, nor do I think he could.
I haven't watched death note, nor do I want to, but still. Sherlock trumps all.

From the paper trails, to the hints you've dropped that flew right over the investigative teams head. Hmm now my %99 percent probability has gone up to %100 mr.
