The biggest Uchiha plothole

So we all know about Izanagi right? It's an Uchiha forbidden jutsu that enables one to alter reality.

Here's where the plothole is.

"A jutsu that can only be used by someone possessing the powers of the Uchiha and senju" Yet, Itachi's history lesson clearly states that there were enough users for it to become a major problem. So much of a problem that due to infighting, izanami had to be created. But it requires senju power as well, and the senju and Uchiha were always at war with each other.

So it's highly unlikely that there where enough hybrids of the 2 for there to actually be enough izanagi users to be a problem.

What the crap! Were the Uchiha mad geneticists or something?! Was what Madara did a common practice?

But Obito specifically said that you need Uchiha and senju powers. Meaning that izanagi can't be used without them.

I never said izanami, I said izanagi, which Obito clearly stated that needed senju DNA.

This has been asked before and the most common answer is that Izanagi isn't as effective without senju DNA.

just look at how senju DNA enhanced Shisui's sharingan when Danzo used it.

Shisui could only use his genjutsu every 10 years, and Danzo with senju DNA could use it every half hour about

Izanagi can only be cast by those with a sharingan.

A senju with uchiha DNA would not be able to use Izanagi....so yeah


also Obito's Izanagi lasted 10min to avoid the explosion

maybe the regular Izanagi without senju DNA would last probably 5min

What if those who can use Izanagi naturally have a small portion of Senju in them? Since both clans are technically related and descended from the Sage and his sons. Enough to use the technique, but not enough to unlock the Rinnegan, if you will.

I honestly don't believe it's a plothole.

Izanagi can be used by those with the genetic traits of the Sage of the Six Paths. The Uchiha, descended from the Sage, are able to perform Izanagi with their Sharingan. Though to make full use of Izanagi, one must also have the genetic traits of the Senju, who are also descended from the Sage.

Obito in that scan claims to have gained control over Hashirama's DNA and as thus possessed the completed form of Izanagi.

Orochimaru implanted Hashirama Senju's DNA into Danzo's right arm, which extended the duration of the technique.

But due to his lack of mastery over Hashirama's cells, Danzō's Izanagi could be considered incomplete.

Concerning the Senju's DNA required for a 'complete' Izanagi, - Obito was under the tutelage of Madara, so I think we can give him the benefit of the doubt. Itachi did say that Izanami, was originally invented as a countermeasure to Izanagi, so it would appear as if the clan or a member of the clan devised a way, or invented rather, an eye technique - Izanami, that could be used with or without Senju's DNA.
Mad Geneticists? Lol They, especially Madara, apparently conducted many experiments with Senju Cells.. I will be releasing a theory about it pretty soon.

Obito's version is the "perfected" version. We've seen that Senju DNA enhances Uchiha abilities greatly. It simply makes Izanagi more potent and effective. A normal Uchiha could do it, but it wouldn't be as perfected as one with both bloodlines intertwined.
