Initially meant to rival the Uchiha, it was later shown that Hyuga clan can't even compete with Uchiha clan member with 3T (like 14 year old Itachi who stomped Orochimaru). I'm pretty sure war arc Neji can't beat Orochimaru, nor any of the Sannin. He got owned by Juubi's thorns

The dojutsu of the Hyuga, the byakugan, proved to be shit as well. Kaguya's dimension jutsu, her primary technique, was rinnegan based. So much for the redemption.

Many hype failed to meet expectations, but nothing exceeds the level of failure of the Hyuga. There are many people who don't belong to a clan like Jiraiya, Onoki, Minato, Gai etc. would absolutely destroy any Hyuga in a battle

As Naruto is coming to an end, I must say the Hyuga clan were one of the biggest embarrassment of the manga. Many characters without Kekkei Genkai like 3rd Raikage can solo the whole Hyuga clan...what was the point of introducing them in such a grand manner in Part 1, I wonder?

It was already dead the moment the Sharingan evolved further into MS, EMS and the strongest of all the Rinnegan. Kaguya just put the nail on the coffin.

He was a prodigy, and saying that he can defeat Orochimaru while Neji can't doesn't mean the Hyuga are failures. Neji could probably beat some of the more average Uchiha members (this is speculation, of course though)

Your logic is amazing...... Maybe because they have no history with another clan, maybe because they didnt plan a coup, maybe because they didn't deal with segregation, maybe because they didn't have any notable members capable of wiping all of them out. The hyuuga are a joke, they cant even produce a member close to elite uchiha. Wouldn't even be surprised if Taka sasuke could solo the entire clan alone without activating the MS.
