The purpose of Germa atp is to help & stop the rest of the Big Mom crew, while Strawhat's leave this island peacefully but if they want they can just Kill Big Mom after she passes out? But they did not come to raise a full fledged war? as they came to WCI to take back Sanji and the print of pone-glyph (and succeeded in that).
The ramification of this Victory would be a clash between Big Mom Vs Kaido Vs Supernova's Vs Admiral (Marines).
Which would make the MF arc look small when compared to this War (i believe this what Oda stated, not too long ago).
Big Mom anger turning towards Fishmen Island but since it was already predicted that Fismen Island will be destroyed and in her vision she saw Strawhat, so it's easy to connect the dots now (as Luffy is the reason that Fishmen Island might get destroyed).
Like i said above they did not come for a full fledged war and they only came to retrieve Sanji and take the print of Poneglyph and they succeeded but if they wanted to they could have killed Big Mom right here and now (after she passes out) since they have defeated one of the three main power houses and one is going to be defeated shortly. Only Big Mom will be considered as threat after this arc and if Cracker and Katakuri gets a role again after this arc? Luffy will defeat them again since he will surpass Katakuri after this arc and after his fight with Katakuri and then we have Smoothie (i seriously can't say much about her) who is weaker then Katakuri?
Now what remains is the number of subordinate's Big Mom have which should be equalized by Luffy's newly formed captains.
So right here, right now they are defeated ( Big Mom and her army could not do anything about it, Only think they succeeded is killing some irrelevant character who was introduced in this arc only and was killed in this arc only, which happens to be Lola's father and then come Pedro who's life span was already taken and that dude was showing suicidal tendencies to be precious. After saying all that we never know Oda, he might come back alive and the explanation could be he was struggling with his life, till he saw full moon.;

Especially if knocking out BM releases the souls of her homies. Then BM's organization has a lot of rebuilding to do across Tottoland, as a lot of their infrastructure is homie based, and it took years of soul tributes from the citizens to achieve that.
