Hm. OP, Naruto, Bleach got name Big 3, because they were for long periond three best sellers mangas.

1. OP will not end soon, probably manga you mention will end before OP's end, so OP will always be part of Big 3.
2. Bleach probably will not end soon, either.
3. Naruto will end soon, so it leave only one place.

If I remember correctly Toriko sales are not really good it's even weaker than current Bleach's, so it's out. Tho, I'm not sure about HxH and Magi.

Probably the best series out of the HST, Fairy tale on the other hand doesn't proceed to dominate the contest, not even in the slightest.
I've seen some decent fight sequences and character designs from Fairy Tail. One Piece looks a bit off artistically, but I haven't really given it a fair shot. I held off on Bleach for 12 years before I gave it a shot. I had to pick between Bleach and Naruto and Naruto seemed more interesting.

It's not just about treasure hunting LOL. I seriously recommend watching the first 44 episodes (ep.44 is the end of the arlong park arc which is the arc that makes most people hooked into the series).

The term as Big 3 was made due to the certain period of manga sales on OP, Naruto, Bleach series were at top in WSJ rank, hence the epithet. They were the selling points for the magazine so far, in a long time range over some particular years. Now since a few other series are picking up the beat recently, if they manage to maintain their potential sales and possibility to surpass any of the current big 3, then it would be changed.

IMO, Naruto wouldn't be replaced, now that the readers/watchers were eager to know how it would end (personally, i think Naruto is not going to end just yet). I'm honestly unsure about Bleach, forgive me, but One Piece is still far from the finish line. The series can go for another 10 yrs, and knowing Oda, whom has various things store for the fans, it's possible. Even Universal Studio Japan had built some monuments based on One Piece there.

But i must say several series which almost have similar chance to be on top are: (keep in mind, this is about shounen series)
HunterxHunter
Magi (hm? did Magi come from WSJ? i think it was from WSS)
AoT (from BSM)

Or somehow it's influenced by WSJ markets. Many fans buy that mag rather than other shounen mags.

Can someone please explain how OP isn't in the big 3 anymore? It's has 10+ more years to go at least, Naruto and Bleach are nearing their end but OP is nowhere near the end, if anything OP is "the big one"
No one ever said it was out :|. The manga has another ten years or so, the anime maybe 15 or more. It's not going away any time soon.

OT: Bleach fell out the Big 3 shortly after it's anime cancellation, it popularity was recently trumpeted by Fairy Tail a year ago.

Here are current big 3 imo:

One Piece

Naruto

Fairy Tail

Now anyone who has seen some of my previous posts should know I only follow one of those but tried all three, but considering their growing popularity in Japan and abroad, these will remain on the top spots for at least a few more months to maybe a year until Naruto whines down and something else takes it's place, what it will be, I have no idea.

For Some Reason, I think that when Naruto and One Piece ends, the popularity for manga/anime in general will fall dramatically.

FT doesn't have an intriguing/complex plot that keeps fans into the series. (In fact, most FT fans only care about the characters designs and parings -_-)

HXH will most likely go on Hiatuses.

Toriko (I haven't read) is said to be good, but it's just not as captivating as the others.

Magi (I really need to get into that series later) I just don't see it becoming huge.

Attack on Titan - the story and characters are/is very limited. There's not much to expand upon, so it will probably end before OP ends.

Lel Naruto and One Piece are still part of the Big 3.
Naruto was the fourth best selling manga in japan in the first half of 2014 and most popular according to google trends!! U_U

Naruto trumps the "new" big three by story alone. Don't care about someone else's big three. I simply don't like them but will respect what you enjoy.

Note: if by sales, none will eclipse Naruto or One piece in the next five years. Naruto will end but not this year and even when it ends people will still purchase its merchandise and many a like crazy. It will take years for it to die down, and nostalgia will just fluctuate like it did for Dbz. Naruto has ubiquitous reputation akin to Dbz. Once it ends who knows how noterity it will have.

AOT, HXH will be in the top 5 though. Naruto will drop to number three awhile after it ends. Bleach won't survive another year most likely and isn't in the top three best selling manga. One piece will remain number one until the unprecedented transpires, like a new manga like Naruto or Dbz arrives but Japan loves pirates! So far no new manga has that legendary status on it. Just some good to great many a ie: Aot and HxH
