The Best Thing For Sakura's Character...

This topic is old by now, but oh well, I'm going to post it anyway...

Making Sakura NOT Sarada's mom would've been the BEST thing for Sakura's character.

When I thought Karin was the mom and saw these panels I looked at Sakura in the most positive light I had ever seen her in the entire series and respected her more than I ever did before.

Kishi had been trying to portray her as a loving, selfless, devoted person and completely failed, IMO.

Her watching over Sarada while ill and raising her would've been the ultimate representation of what Kishi was trying and failing to shove down our throats about Sakura.

Now that Sarada is unfortunately Sarada's biological mom, these panels feel less special and touching to me and regular as hell. It's her daughter. B!tch better take care of her when she's sick.

Also, I hate that Kishi sullied the Itachi forehead poke by having a non-Uchiha by blood (Sakura) do it. he forehead poke should've been something strictly between Sasuke and Sarada.

Kishi pisses me off.

Yeah sorry I don't follow. It would have been admirable on Sakura's part sure, but it would have just meant that she let Sasuke disrespect her by cheating on her and even decided to raise his kid without so much as a word against it.

As much as I agree with your opinion about this topic. I think its time to move on. The gaiden should not be remembered as anything more than a trash bin. Making threads over it will only make it seem like it was something worth remembering.

I don't see how he would've been....dude was free and single when he left the village and he never made her any promises....Karin was loyal to him too...what about her?....just as Karin was mature and only wanted Sasuke to be happy, so could Sakura have been mature and moved on only wanting him to be happy.....Kishi is just a dan coward...

Oh yea, and I was re-reading some of the panels, and it looks like Sarada had a repressed memory of Sasuke and Sakura holding her up when she was a baby as she took her first steps....so Sasuke was around when she was a baby it see....yet they have no family pics...this whole gaiden drama makes no sense whatsoever....horse is dead but beating it anyway.

It would have destroyed Sasuke and Karin's character. Sasuke would have been a "scumbag," who cheated on Sakura with Karin and not only that but he would have taken away a Karin's only child and given her away to someone else. Karin would be a deadbeat parent with no real excuse for why she couldn't at least meet her child, not to mention that would mean she would only have been a fling for Sasuke...and no this would have been terrible for Sakura. She would have been lying to her child about who she really was. And being biologically related to Sarada does not make her any less of a loving mother.

I know how you feel about it. I called it before the reveal that it would be poor writing by Kishi if he went on with Sakura being the mother. But that was weeks ago. Its time to move on and forget it. Because honestly its not worth the stress.

Do u really think it would be right for someone to know all that he put her through and just shack up with someone else knowing that Sakura still holds strong feelings for him? I mean at the least he could have properly rejected her first, but in 699 Sasuke was even shown entertaining Sakura's feelings

I think that's easily fixable. Taka is helping Sasuke with the mission to prepare of the greater threat. Sasuke is jumping dimensions and Karin's doing Uzumaki shit with Uzumaki chains and seals that are too dangerous for Sarada to be around....OR....or....when they jump the dimension, time moves slowly for them in the other dimensions so a day in dimension x is like a year on earth so to Karin, she has only been away from her baby for 12 days as opposed to 12 years but of course to Sarada, it has been 12 years....Kishi had options....

....and the messaging of the story about Sakura being the mom even if no the bio mom would've been all the more special....and it wouldn't have been a lie in the end...

and I'm not saying Sakura is less of a loving mom, I'm just saying it feels less special to me now.

posted a response already and if u agree that she is a doormat how would further proving that she has no self respect do better for her character. The forehead tap was Sasuke at the very least entertaining Sakura's feelings. For him to know all that he put her through and that she still holds such strong feelings for him and for him to shack up with else would make Sasuke seem like scum. If he didn't hold any feelings for Sakura he could have at least properly rejected her, but instead he somewhat returned some of her feelings.

Saying they aren't officially together isn't a valid excuse for that.

Like i said him falling in love with someone else would have been fine, but Sasuke never even entertained Karin's feelings, but as for Sakura if he was going to be with someone else then he should have broken things off with Sakura first.

I never said it was Sasuke's fault. Sasuke in no way can be held responsible, because he clearly tried to cut things off with Sakura. The only problem is that in the end he entertained her feelings. That is means that he was leading her on with the notion of returning her romantic advances. Going with Karin without ending things with Sakura first would have been wrong.
