Everyone on this thread is completely ignorant to what was already said in the Managa.
Hiruzen is essentially the strongest of the kages you have mentioned, and in no way is hiruzen the weakest of the kages. It has already been stated that Hiruzen is the strongest of the kages during his reign (even in his old age).
This already shows Hiruzen as being superior to the 4th Kazekage. (As the 4th kazekage was the last reigning kage of the hidden sand before oro killed him). And this makes hiruzen during his old age stronger than both 2nd Mizukage(killed Muu) , 4th Mizukage (perfect Jinchuriki), and 3rd raikage.
Now if old hiruzen is stronger than 3rd raikage, there is no way in HELLL that tsunade can beat him, and also if Hiruzen is stronger than the 4th mizukage that must also mean that he could go toe to toe with Mei.
All this underestimation of hiruzen is primarily due to no one having seen his full arsenal, so you speculate. Well, the manga has already told you or hinted to you how powerful hiruzen is.
1. He mastered all forms of shinobi combat - Which means his Taijustu, Ninjustu, Genjutsu, Kenjutsu, and fuinjutsu is flawless and superior to most.
2. He learned and mastered all jutsu that exist in the leaf - which quite possibly mean this man is able to use all elements, and has a counter for most (if not every) jutsu used against him.
3. He is hailed as a TRUE GENIUS (the Proffessor) - which means his analytical skills and battle prowess is teirs above most others (basically on or above itachi and minato's level of genius)
4. He was held as a GOD of Shinobi in his Prime - Which means the man is not to be triffled with and is a Massive Powerhouse (even in old age).
Stop this ridiculus underrating of this brilliant shinobi and give credit to where credit is due.
