NB Tobi remains a mystery, S06P dsnt count.
list of ninjas: Hashirama, Tobirama, Izuna, Madara, Sarutobi, Itachi, Minato, 1st Raikage, Hanzo, 3rd Raikage, Jiraiya, Nagato, Kakashi, Sasuke, Orochimaru, Gaara, Naruto et.c.

Generations:
1st Hashirama/Madara generation
2nd Sarutobi/Jiraiya n Orochimaru/Hanzo generation
3rd Minato/Itachi/Nagato/3rd Raikages
4th Kakashi/Guy/Yamato/Bee
5th Naruto/Gaara/Sasuke

yh the 1st are quite strong, but they lost my vote when Sarutobi battled the Senju brothers. Madara is a force to reckon with though!

sure can be argued out. Sarutobi fought, Orochimaru + Senju brothers, Madara was defeated by Hashirama and in his "prime" he dint have the Rinnegan.

one thing we know is madara died, one thing we'v heard from tobi is he got into the fight to steal hs DNA. And im pretty sure Hashirama and Madara were both in their prime during that fight. Madara+Rinnegan is post-prime
