When the Asura Path took Kakashi's attack in order to protect the Deva Path was that only cause it was the Deva Path and it was the main part of destruction plan or was it also cause Nagato didnt want anything to happen to Yahiko's body?

I just saw some people arguing about it so it made me wonder....

He probably just wanted to keep Deva path alive to not waste time having to revive it since it probably the strongest of the paths.
I don't think he would care about the body being harmed since he would be able to perfectly revive it.

I think it had something to do with that being Yahiko's body as well as it being his main path. Konan told Naruto that body was very precious to them when he asked her why she was taking it with her and not the others

It's the strongest Path. I think it's cuz the Naraka Path wasn't there at the time, so if Deva was damaged, it would've been bad for Pein.

Yes, the Deva path has the most destructive power, therefore he is the most important for the destruction of the leaf. Also, Nagato communicates mostly using this one. I also think it had something to do with it being Yahiko's body.
