Chapter Ten
Yoru, Sora and Miu arrived at the gate to the hidden leaf village. Yoru at risk of being discovered had wrapped his scarf around his face as well as having his hood up. These made him receive some weird looks from Sora and Miu as well as the villagers but he told them he was cold.
A lot had changed over the two years there was many new buildings including the village’s size which had almost doubled. He thought about all the things he would have missed. But the thing he wondered the most was what his brother had told everybody about his disappearance.
When the three of them arrived at the Hokage’s building they found out that the entire building was empty. There was a sign on the desk which read ‘Closed for the Chuunin exams’.
So he finally did it then Yoru thought to himself.
“Well I guess we just wait it out then?” Sora said uneasily
“Seem like it could be a while though” Miu replied
“Seems like we should come back tomorrow then? We could go look around the village” Yoru suggested but soon regretted offering this choice
After being dragged around the village shops for a few hours Yoru finally decided to sneak off. He was wondering the streets for a while before a hand grabbed him on the shoulder
“So you’re him aren’t you?” The voice questioned him
Before Yoru could reply he was dragged through a door and into a room.
“Hey wait what’s going on?” Yoru yelled
“Just wait your turn” A man said shutting the door
Yoru sat down on a rather comfortable chair in the middle of the room. He looked around to see this chair was the only piece of furniture in the entire room.
A man’s head appeared from behind the door
“It’s time follow me” he said
Yoru got up and followed the man. He was led through a few corridors before opening a door and pointing for him to walk through.
Yoru walked out on to an open field surrounded by large walls forming a massive circle. It wasn’t until he looked up he realised where he was. He was at the Chuunin exams that he first heard about two years ago.
He looked around and saw Hashirama, Tobirama and Madara seated in an area by themselves. Madara seemed to stare at him while Hashirama pointed towards the other contestant.
Yoru looked towards the man he saw someone around his height but he was dressed in a white cloak with the hood up hiding his face. Even his sword was emitting a white bright light.
The man charged towards Yoru with the shining blade. Yoru decided it would be best to dodge it. Yoru just managed to duck under the sword but his scarfs tail was cut in half by the sword.
Yoru quickly shifted his weight to his back foot and kicked forward shoulder barging his opponent to the ground. He quickly followed up by stamping down on his opponents wrist losing the grip on the sword. Yoru grabbed the sword in his right hand.
It sent a shock up his right arm but it just made him grab the sword even tighter. All of a sudden the arm that was being held down disappeared. He heard some footsteps behind him but he could not react quick enough he was thrown to the ground.
As he got back up he felt the breeze on his face. His opponent stared at him with shock.
“Yoru?!” His opponent whispered
Yoru quickly wrapped the scarf back around his face.
“Hey great to see you two Hikari” Yoru said sarcastically
“How are you even alive?” Hikari questioned Yoru
“Let’s save that for later shall we?” Yoru whispered
The two jumped away from each other.
“I think it’s time for this to get interesting” They both said
Yoru placed his sword back on his sheathe hanging over his shoulder.
“Fire Style Fire Manipulation!” Yoru yelled
Yoru’s hands and feet were covered in flames.
“Not so fast” Hikari said
He instantly appeared behind Yoru. But Yoru was expecting this he quickly turned and launched a punch towards Hikari’s face. Hikari tried to block it but Yoru smiled and drove his hand into Hikari’s hand. This caused a shot of pain up Hikari’s arm. Hikari charged some lightning chakra into his hand and tried to punch Yoru. Yoru grabbed Hikari’s hand.
The two were locked together.
“Yoru its time we finished this” Hikari Whispered
“Fine then” Yoru Replied
Both began blasting their own chakra. Yoru his fire style and Hikari his lightning style. A bright light began to envelop the two. Yoru could feel himself being pushed back.
“I can’t lose to him, not again” Yoru thought
Yoru closed his eyes from the light being generated due to the clash between the two. His hands were suddenly free he opened his eyes he couldn’t see Hikari anymore. He quickly turned around looking for Hikari but he could not see where he was. Yoru activated his Sharingan and searched for Hikari he saw a chakra flicker but it was too late the sword was driven through Yoru’s chest.
“It seems I win again” Hikari laughed
“Poof”
Yoru’s body disappeared.
“Where are you?!” Hikari yelled
“I’m right here” Yoru whispered
Yoru was standing behind Hikari
“But how did you get there” Hikari asked confused
Yoru pointed to his eyes
“These eyes see everything brother” Yoru whispered
Yoru quickly cut Hikari’s arm forcing him to drop his sword he then cut the back of Hikari’s legs so that he fell to his knees before Yoru.
“I think I’ll end this now huh?” Yoru continued
“What will you do?” Hikari mumbled
“You know what has to happen” Yoru said coldly
Yoru picked up both swords and crossed them in a x around Hikari’s head.
Yoru felt a hand on his shoulder
“I wouldn’t do that” The voice said
Yoru turned around dropping both the swords and tried to punch the man but he simply blocked and threw Yoru over his shoulder. Yoru hit the ground he looked and saw Madara standing over him. Madara picked Yoru up by his collar.
“Now listen you are going to win this match and continue on to the next round until you are in the finals” Madara explained
“But why?” Yoru asked
“You’ll see” Madara told Yoru
Madara dropped Yoru to the floor
“The winner of this round is Yoru Senju” Madara yelled
“He’s alive?!” Two voices yelled
