so me proof that the third coffin Orochimaru was about to summon was actually Minato? because there is zero proof in the manga that the 3rd coffin was Minato. Hiruzen just stated that he could not allowed Orochimaru to open the third coffin

Rag the third coffin said 4th on it in kanji.and hiruzen made it clear that if he didn't close it he would lose.if those two things don't aren't enough reason to believe that then what is.I don't have proof it was Minato but there's plenty of reason to think so.the real question is would the jutsu have really worked when it opened

Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree that this one was kind of not well thought out.

The third used this against Orochimaru knowing what was going to happen with his sould once it was used.

For good, the 3rd, coffin wasn't allowed to be opened just because it was already a bit too much of a chaos for Sarutobi handling 2 former kages
