So, If You Were Worried About the #Naruto Anime Ending, Don’t Be

New information has surfaced this week about the fate of the Naruto anime. According to SGCAFE and their scans of a new interview, anime series director Hayato Date doesn’t want to end the anime after the events of the manga catch up.

“Nope, it’s not ending yet! Once we usher in the new year we will be introducing some new story developments into the series. The Naruto anime series will keep on going!”

He also took time to comment on a special episode that will air on December 4th, centering around Hanabi and Hinata, that will tie into the The Last movie.

“I can’t go into too much yet, but the episode will feature Hinata’s sister, Hanabi Hyuga – What did she grow up to be like? What is she doing now? The episode will detail that… It’s a story about the Hyuga sisters. It’s going to be a good episode”

So all in all some pretty interesting developments. Could we see more Naruto in the shape of some kind of Naruto GT series? Its interesting to wonder if the filler content being thrown in next year will take place after or between chapter 699 and 700. As long as it isn’t done poorly, and it isn’t put in at any point during the war, it might be interesting to see how things go.

If they do this I just hope they don't ruin the legacy of the naruto series. Its always awesome to add on and of course I will watch it, but its bad when added episodes aren't too good and taint the name of the series.

GT was awful so my expectations are not high.

if its between 699 and 700 then that would be good... adding things we are asking about

such as orochimaru

kakashi receiving the hokage title...

the return of Naruto to konoha..

etc.

but if its like GT then ugh... I will 100% watch it but only because I want to keep watching Naruto not because the story is good (if it was a clone of GT)...

hope its a continuation in a good way

yeah probably at spring next year... because we have about 47chapters left to be animated... so if we make 2 chapters per episode that leaves us with about 24 episodes... (they said there will be no filler) so it makes it 24 weeks /4 = 6 months... at least.. until we reach chapter 699 in the anime.

I think its after... the movie is out in cinemas this December..so its logical for the movie to be sold on DVD/Bluray couple of months after.

Naruto GT is a reference to Dragonball GT... the third sequence of dragonball (after dragonball, dragonball Z)... and its the same where both dragonball and Z were written by Akira Toriyama the thirs part (GT) was written by another author (akira only helped with some character designs such as SSJ 4)... so its just a reference of Naruto part 3 being a sequence that's written by another author (Filler).

So fillers wasn't written by Kishi ? Why won't they just make next episode instead of wasting time on some stupid ass fillers. No wonder they are shit after all since probably Kishi even didn't touch them.

well for any regular anime they make them in seasons... so they keep it canon material (by the original author), but for long running anime such as Naruto (which is a standard weekly anime) they are forced to make filler episodes to keep distance with the manga... usually the anime is about 60 chapters behind the manga (the safe line)... so if they keep making canon only episodes they will catch-up to the manga and then be forced to go on hiatus which improbable due to high rating and high views on TV.

it's not that they just do fillers, but it's more of a long-cut road to give builders sometime to finish the main road so they could get back driving on it again.
