NINJA NEWS NETWORK?!
Are they purposely trying to turn it into a cartoon for children? It feels like everyone is trying to shit on Kishimoto's hard work. I understand if One Piece is a show for children, but why are they trying to turn Naruto into one?
Actually, the Ninja News Network thing has been a running trend. Or, if it hasn't, I had one hell of a case of deja-vu with something I couldn't possibly have watched today.
Have they lost interest? Are they getting lazy? Why are they totally crapping on it when the story is in its most crucial stage?
They picked a hell of an awesome time to drop the bleach anime. Kenpachi Unohana is a beast. Though Ichigo having a quincy as his mother is just becoming old... Soulreaper-fullbring-hollow-quincy Ichigo is just getting a bit crazy... but, I'm digging the first Kenpachi, right now.
Of course, they would have put in some crazy filler arc that pissed everyone off before continuing... so I don't blame them. Maybe they will pick it back up once the final arc of the manga completes.
Back to Naruto... honestly, I think they've tried pretty hard with the anime. They've really tried to expand upon the side-story characters and to flesh them out a little more than they are in the manga (without stepping on canon). There have been a few times where it's gotten a bit too goofy or out of hand - but it would seem to be an honest effort.
The animation quality of the war was bound to drop. There are many, many action sequences that will be piled on top of each other (and I would even suspect that the "power" episodes were done by a different team under a different budget) for months on end with the same release schedule and largely the same budget.
At least it's not the infamous elevator scene from Evangelion:

At least one minute of the same frame. To be fair - the budget was dwindling for the show (hence "Congratulations!"), and they did play it off in an interesting way (the 'awkward silence') - but still.
