The way I see it, being a fan of Naruto does not equate to being an anime fan or being part of the anime fandom. Being a fan of anime implies you like anime as a whole and not just one show.

There are literally 1000's of anime out there. One show ending really won't affect the anime community as a whole. It will only affect the people who just watched things like Naruto. Other people will just move on to another show. The anime community will stay the same. The Naruto community will decrease.

Naruto ending might slow down the process of growth in the anime community, because some people might have started watching other series because of Naruto, but the community won't diminish at all.

duuuuh! but no anime/manga has great impact like naruto and dbz in nowadays and i don't think there will be that's why the anime community is dying

Incorrect. One Piece has had a greater reception and recognition than Naruto. Other anime, like SNK, had more hype than Naruto did for years. Other anime will rise up and replace it, especially since Naruto was decent overall.

When you mean Anime Community, which one ?

The one in America

The one in Europe (mainly France)

The one in Asia

The (tiny) one in Australia

Or the (Massive) one in Japan.

Here's some excerpts from One Piece's reception.
n 2008, One Piece became the highest-circulating manga series.[92] In 2010, Shueisha announced that they had sold over 260 million volumes of One Piece; volume 61 set a new record for the highest initial print run of any book in Japan with 3.8 million copies (the previous record belonging to volume 60 with 3.4 million copies). Volume 60 was the first book to sell over two million copies in its opening week on Japan's Oricon book rankings,[93] and later became the first book to sell over three million copies in the chart's history.[94] As of 2013, the series had over 345 million volumes in circulation worldwide, of which 300 million were printed in Japan alone, making it the best-selling manga series in history.[95][96][97]

Overall, the series has re-written Japanese record for first print manga publication 9 times with Volumes 24, 25, 26, 27, 56, 57, 59, 60, 61 and 63.

In 2010 One Piece again maintained its top spot with 32,343,809 copies sold, more than second Naruto, third Kimi ni Todoke, fourth Fairy Tail, fifth Bleach and sixth Fullmetal Alchemist combined.[107]

One Piece is the first ever manga series to hold a "Dome Tour," in which events were held in famous dome venues of Osaka and Tokyo in spring 2011.

What is Naruto the first manga series ever in regards to anything?

europe and america ...

Well, In Europe (excluding the UK), One piece has already started taking over since 2011.

In America, I'm pretty sure that Attack on Titan has Taken Over.

Naruto Is not as popular as it was in 2004-2006 era

Only in Japan.

Naruto as a franchise has inserted itself better worldwide. Yes, the worldwide manga sales favour OP, but not by much and then incorporating the rest of the franchise and Naruto comes out on top. Why? Because OP hit a barrier with a poorly handled dubbed anime.

Whereas Naruto managed to make it's mark on the world front just because it was distributed so well. Even I was surprised to find how many people like Naruto in my small home city alone.

In fact, Anime/Manga has been declining in America ever since 2007, It wasn't until Attack on Titan's massive success in 2013 that started show an increase.

Also, I'm definitely right about One Piece's growth in Europe (mainly france in which the Anime/manga market is equivilant, if not bigger, than US and Canada)

Great post. Fully agree with this one.

4Kids really ****ed One Piece in the ass. Has a dubbing company ever killed off another anime to that extent? The only thing to come from them was that so awful it's kind of good pirate rap.

It's not only in Japan .. But in Countries like Germany and Other EU One Piece >> all the manga sales .. It's you go and do the homework .. I bet you got Rustled OP stayed Consistent unlike Naruto's Sinusoidal Graph ..

Go home Son Manga Sales doesn't limit only to America ..

In Europe and Asian Countries OP has beatan all his Counterparts .. You many call us anything you want the story is great in demand and oda is true genius in Mangaka world ..

Watch Toei Animation .. I agree they deleted lot of important story line ..But Naruto fandom have big grudge on OP .. I don't why ?? If Toei had it in first Place .. OP would have made the domination in the market before hand ..

Like i said in Europe and Asia OP is No.1 you cannot deny that fact ..

Ah, I wasn't talking about myself, rather why one piece is so comparatively unpopular over here. I watch my anime subbed in the first place, but I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority.
