It's too soon imo, the last anime adaption we got from Hollywood was ****ing awful. Naruto may be a shonen, but it's more violent than stuff like DBZ and One Piece and there's gonna be a lot of censorship to shoehorn it into pg-13. You can get away with heavy violence in animation but with live action having gallons of fake blood splashed on the ground after a 12 year old kid get imploded by sand is just um not pg-13 by American standards, in fact there are scenes in Naruto simply too provocative and shocking and twisted for an R rated movie. You know with all the bloody executions of young children and all. I feel like the movie could easily miss the point of the tone of the story and go for a lighter b-movie tone (like Dragon Ball Evolution) and it's going to kill me inside.
The director they got on it has no well received movies under his belt, like I hope he pulls a miracle turn around and does this source material good.
Seriously Naruto ended like 1 or 2 years ago after running for over 15 years and the anime hasn't even concluded...
I would have wanted to see how Hollywood handles a few more anime adaptions before taking on this series because Naruto is a tricky one. The world it takes place in is not even slightly reminiscent of reality, it's a bizarre combination of Feudal Japan and Sci-fi, but despite these things it takes its story and world very seriously.
If Orochimaru isn't as creepy and sadistic as he is in Part 1 then I'm going to be so upset.
I'm just not ready for this shit yo, Naruto is MY THING. There's is nothing I like more than this anime, and if Hollywood is bringing it to the mainstream my only hope was for it to be done the right way, and I just don't trust anyone to do it the right way...i should have become a director yo...
Naruto vs Sasuke live action better be good yo...
