So my teacher told us to write a poem, she said it is supposed be your American Dream and your interpretation of it and it doesn't need any poetical or analytical or literal devices just needs to be good and has to consists of two stanzas and 4 to 6 lines in each stanza.
So here it is:
Tell me what you think and what is god or bad. Tell me what doesn't make sense.
So here it is:
The American Dream¬
stanza 1
What is the American Dream?
It’s whatever you want it to be
It’s what you need
It’s what you want to do in the future
It’s what you love to do
And not being told what to do
To help support your family and be successful
It’s the fantasy that you want to make into a reality
That dream that you want to become true
stanza 2
Now what is my dream?
Oh, my bad
I mean American Dream
Well, it’s what I love to do
It’s what I enjoy to do
It’s what I know I’m good at too
It’s what I want to do in the future
Even if others think I’m not good
I’ll just prove them wrong
If they think I’m bad who cares
‘Cause it’s my American Dream not theirs
