I very much enjoyed the Amazing Spiderman 2, but I honestly don't even know what the f*ck sony is doing anymore with this franchise. Did you know that there is a deleted scene, it was actually filmed and edited and all, where Peter's dad SOMEHOW survived the plane crash and finds Peter and has a chat with him? This scene takes place right after Gwen died and Peter gave up being Spiderman. It was his dad originally that convinced him to go back to being Spiderman.

Not only does this scene not make any logical sense in any way shape or form, but its also ridiculously absurd. THANK GOD they cut it from the final cut, but the sheer fact that this scene made it as far as FILMING is beyond me... there were much more weird scenes like this too, and even more weird rumors about what they were planning on future Spiderman films. I really wish Sony would give up the goose already. I love their Spiderman films, but they're not even trying anymore. The only reason they even made Amazing Spiderman [and all of it's sequels] is so that Marvel doesnt get the property back. Thats just childish and pathetic reasoning to make a movie; theres no heart and soul into them anymore.

OMG! I cried myself a river in the theater when she died. Emma Stone is a phenomenal actress. It's a shame that she won't likely reprise in the forthcoming Spider-Man films. By far my favorite character in the series is Gwen Stacy, and that's due to how well Emma executed her role as the blonde brainiac. Ugh!

:noes:

Whoa there! Why was I never aware/notified of that!!?? Are you serious? But will that deleted scene still be in continuity with the upcoming films?

That's the point of deleted scenes. They do them to do shit that doesn't make sense, but would be cool. There were parachutes in the plane, for all we know, Richard saw one and bailed. We never did see impact or his body. And unlike Bruce Wayne, he can't just teleport into Gotham I mean New York when stranded in the middle of nowhere.

I'm much more interested in the extended fight between Peter and Harry after Gwen dies.

OT: I almost cried because the movie had parts where it kind of reminded of something I was dealing with the same day I saw it.

Well the next released film should have a run time of approximately 3 hours long just like the recent Transformers film, so that we can see all the deleted scenes.
