He was fighting the green goblin at the time. This scene was in the original Spiderman movie from 2002 but spidey saves MJ in the movie by creating a web so her neck doesn't snap. Lol this is one of the biggest issues of ASM

Hate to agree with you, but they set up her dying towards the end of the first movie. I was hoping we'd get to at least 3 movies in and have her die, but seeing that jacket makes me think they might do away with her now, because I read they found a casting for Mary Jane.
