Chapter 6: Strings
[Review on last chapter]
Narrator: In the next instant, the enemy in command proceeds to attack.
Suna Leader: (Shouting) Fuuton: Atsukurushii Kaze no Jutsu!
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: A stream of hot wind is blown onto the mummified-like Konoha shinobi.
Kotetsu: (Whispering) You did it again..
Izumo: (Whispering) Among the things I learned from Asuma-sensei the most important one was never let your guard down..
Suna Leader: (Shouting) Something is not right!
Kotetsu: (Whispering) That raised voice means its time-
Izumo: (Whispering) Indeed..
Narrator: Due to Izumo's cautionary act, the pair had sent out clones in place as they awaited within the double sided ravine. With their cover blown, they exited from within the ravine wall.
Suna Leader: (Shouting) You dare to fool us!
Izumo: (Shouting) You're the one who is attacking us for no apparent reason!
Suna Leader: (Shouting) Show them no mercy!!!
Kotetsu: Dame it!
Narrator: With the given command, the leader's team sent out their Kaze Shageki no Kugutsu previously taken out of its wooden cases which leapt out and released a group attack before landing onto the ground.
[Weapon Insight]
Suna Kunoichi: (Shouting) Kugutsu Fuuton: Bakuhatsu Shippuu no Jutsu!
Suna Shinobi 1: (Shouting) Kugutsu Fuuton: Bakuhatsu Shippuu no Jutsu!
Suna Shinobi 2: (Shouting) Kugutsu Fuuton: Bakuhatsu Shippuu no Jutsu!
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: As the puppeteer shinobi direct their puppets through chakra stings to begin attacking; Kotetsu shouts out a message onto Izumo.
Kotetsu: Izumo..You head for the leader!
Narrator: Surprised by his partner's lead role, he quickly shrugged it off and agreed. Izumo then used his Air Jet Technique and rapidly bounced atop the shelf-like ravine towards the leader.
[Jutsu Insight]
Suna Leader: (In thought) The one who approaches me must be the leader of their two man group-
Suna Leader: (Shouting) Aim your attacks on the one below!
Narrator: Heeding their leader's words; they focused on Kotetsu as he caught a glimpse at what their jutsu entailed.
Kotetsu: (In thought) Shit-explosive tags!
Kotetsu: (Shouting) Doton: Daichi Maruyane no Jutsu!
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: Earth is then quickly risen and covers Kotetsu from all openings as the wind jutsu comes into contact with the ground construct and explodes.
Suna Leader: (In thought) A Fuuton user like me and what an interesting jutsu..
Narrator: As the leader remained in thought; Izumo reached the top of the wall and then demanded answers.
Izumo: (Shouting) What is the meaning for your assault!
Suna Leader: *Snickers*
Narrator: Rather than giving an explanation as to why the ambush; he disrespectfully laughs in his face to which Izumo closed his eyes.
Izumo: How cowardice..
Narrator: Due to feeling insulted, the leader's visage of enjoyment quickly changed into an infuriated expression in reaction to Izumo's comment as he quickly pulled out a weapon attached to the hilt on his left hip. It is revealed to be a Tessen as he began to unfold the small weapon.
[Weapon Insight]
Suna Leader: (Shouting) Fuuton: Dai Kaze Kizuato no Jutsu!
[Jutsu Insight]
Izumo: (In thought) This jutsu is still new to me but-
Narrator: As he reached for his kunai blade; chakra infused wind is released spiraling around the blade and he then slashes upwards as the wind is launched.
Izumo: Fuuton: Kachuu Yaiba no Jutsu!
[Jutsu Insight]
Izumo: Suiton: Hyoutenka Mizu no Jutsu!
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: A freezing water stream is shot and mixed with the vortices changing its temperature which then formed ice crystals within the cores. The ice formation enhanced the force of this jutsu. Smoke then settles around the grounded prison as Kotetsu proceeds to release his jutsu and pulls out his kunai blade.
Suna Kunoichi: (In thought) Does he think a bladed weapon will be sufficient to destroy our puppets?
Suna Shinobi 1: (Whispering) Here he comes-
Suna Shinobi 2: This is what I've been waiting for!
Narrator: By using a different approach against the puppeteers, Kotetsu decides to move in close range leaping onto the rigged-shelves. Izumo's ace lies within the combo using the jutsu produced by the chakra wing and a Suiton jutsu simultaneously.
Suna Leader: (In thought) I've never seen such a technique in synch!
Narrator: Both jutsu connect and each user stands their ground maintaining chakra flow.
Suna Leader: (In thought) More chakra!
Narrator: In his addition of chakra, the leader's jutsu increases in size and strength.
Izumo: (In thought) My reserves are depleting-I cannot keep this up-this is all I can do!
Narrator: A stressed Izumo commences to pour even more chakra into his wing and begins to flap creating high winds which impact his vortices jutsu; enlarging and empowering his combo. The two jutsu waver for a couple of minutes until each interloped and froze.
Kotetsu: (In thought) Izumo?!
Suna Kunoichi: (In thought) Sensei!
Suna Shinobi 1: (In thought) Sensei!
Suna Shinobi 2: (In thought) Sensei!
Suna Kunoichi: (In thought) If something happened to him!
Suna Shinobi 2: (In thought) I’ll take my revenge yet!
Suna Shinobi 1: (Shouting) You two will pay!
Narrator: Each puppet has a slender kunai slip through its mouth and hand compartments as they are all directed at Kotetsu who begins dodging the strikes.
Kotetsu: (In thought) I'm coming partner!
Narrator: He quickly summons his Conch Shell Mace as he stops moving and motions the weapon in front of himself before the puppets collided with the sturdy mace-like tool. One puppet's head shattered due to its attacking position and the others resulted in the hands crushing which began to fracture the arms.
Suna Kunoichi: (In thought) Dame!-That was his intention all along!
Suna Shinobi 2: Shit!
Narrator: Defeat drives the puppeteers towards their leader as they have no other means of attacking but Kotetsu invokes a jutsu.
Kotetsu: Doton: Tsuchi Kyuuin no Jutsu!
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: Earth quickly rose and consumed each Suna ninja before they had a chance to flee.
Suna Kunoichi: (In thought) Sensei...
Suna Shinobi 1: (Shouting) Dame you!
Suna Shinobi 2: (Shouting) Once we're freed!
Narrator: Kotetsu, drained from using most of his reserves staggers up the rigged wall worried about Izumo's condition.

•The pair head towards Kirabi's training cavern but decide to search in Kumogakure due to the village having a better chance of matching the element’s lightning characteristics
•Their choice leads the pair to the next gem hidden in a cloud that surrounded the high mountains near the Raikage office
•The pair head for the boat and encounter an even stronger storm than the one that faced them when they traveled to Kaminari no Kuni
•They continued to waver the harsh storm and upon passing it they land back to Hi no Kuni
•Unable to arrive to Kaze no Kuni before sunset the two then set up camp and the nxt day continue onto their destination
•Upon arriving they begin their vast and long search throughout the desert land
•Having covered most of the land and no sign of the gem they decide to rest as a sandstorm quickly strengthened
•The next morning they head out to the outskirts of the village and eventually locate the gem within a twister
•With the gem recovered the pair are suddenly ambushed as they exit Sunagakure
