Chapter 9: Waterworld
[Review on last chapter]
Note: I have an appointment tomorrow (I don't don't know what it is with Tuesdays -_-) and I doubt I'll be able to get on thus the reasoning behind this earlier release.
Narrator: The special gem began to glow a deeper green as they grew nearer.
Kotetsu: Hey I couldn't discuss this with you because of our situation back there but you came to the conclusion she was a nukenin..how?
Izumo: Everything about her pointed me in that direction and I’ve also been allowed into a bingo book meeting by Tsunade-sama-
Kotetsu: Why-aren’t those meetings only intended for ANBU and Jounin?
Izumo: I confessed my interest in becoming a Jounin to Tsunade-sama and I always wanted to get a feel of how it would be and when I attended one I was able to be a little more keen to these type of ninja-
Kotetsu: That's not fair!
Izumo: Perhaps if you did not slack off every so often and actually should more concern with your duti-
Kotetsu: Okay..Okay-no need to rub it in!
Izumo: *Chuckle*
Narrator: The pair then make their way into somewhat of a narrow ravine with high walls on each side. Upon arriving in between the vast pathway, they face the right side of the ravine as the gem begins to levitate causing the wall to begin cracking.
Izumo: Look!
Narrator: All of a suddenly, powerful flooding waves began to enter their location.
[Jutsu Insight]
Nukenin: (In thought) I may be taking a gamble with my life but I cannot afford to have them leak out my whereabouts...and by the look of it they seem to be treasure hunters or maybe smugglers-so either their village knows of this or continues to support members who have alliterative motives..hmm one of the many reasons why I hate these ninja villages
Izumo: I'll attempt to hold back the waves-you get the gem!
Kotetsu: Roger!
Izumo: Suiton: Suijinheki!
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: A barricade of water is blown out of Izumo's mouth onto the ground as it rises from below with immensive force.
Nukenin: Oh..
Izumo: (In thought) It must be her!-
Kotetsu: (In thought) Its almost completely cracked!
Nukenin: (In thought) Its time!
Kotetsu: (In thought) There it is!
Izumo: (In thought) She continues to remain hidden?!
Narrator: As Kotetsu reached for the intensive chocolate colored gem, the figure suddenly appeared diving downwards; crashing into him.
*Splash*
Nukenin: (In thought) Mizu Bunshin?
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: She then sensed Kotetsu from behind her as he used a jutsu.
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: Her body dissipates just before the shot of mud was to come into contact with her. Kotetsu then quickly moved in and recovered the gem.
Kotetsu: (In thought) That jutsu of hers..
Narrator: However, the water reformed into her body and she proceeds to ambush Kotetsu from behind with her double bladed katana.
Nukenin: (In thought) A replacement!
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: A poof of smoke ensues as a rock falls to the ground revealed to be the object used for the technique. Kotetsu appeared behind her as she began to turn her head; Izumo releases his barrier and quickly executes several hand seals initiating the Air Jet Technique on himself and his partner.
[Jutsu Insight]
Narrator: They hastily begin bouncing out of the area and Kotetsu is able to avoid her next strike which impales the left wall side.
Nukenin: (In thought) Impossible-they make the perfect combo!
Narrator: Izumo's water barrier is then overcome by the torrent as it continued to surge into the ravine. The nukenin leaped onto the violent surface and kept track of their movement.
Izumo: She is relentless!
Kotetsu: (Whispers) I have it..
Izumo: Thank goodness-
Nukenin: (Shouting) You think I'll allow you the chance to escape?!-
Narrator: Both shinobi rebound onto the vigorous waves and what appeared to be a deep ocean. The nukenin comes into view riding the biggest wave as she stares at the two.
Izumo: (Whispers) It seems as though her chakra reserves are great-
Kotetsu: (Whispers) Yeah..her skills and reserves almost mirror that of Hoshigaki Kisame..
Narrator: Using the sea of water; she invokes thickened mist to rapidly develop.
Kotetsu: Not the dreaded Kirigakure no Jutsu again-
[Jutsu Insight]
Izumo: We must not falter..
[Setting change: Konohagakure Hokage headquarters]
*Knock*
Narrator: The Hokage’s attendant opened the door enough to fit her head as she hesitantly spoke.
Shizune: Tsunade-sama..um-
Tsunade: (Shouting) Out with it!-I have so much work that its driving me insane!!!
Shizune: (Frantic shouting) I know your work is overwhelming but there is a message bird here for you!
Tsunade: (In thought) As if I’m not busy enough!-Wait Izumo?-I’ll receive it!
Shizune: Yes Tsunade-sama..
Narrator: She then motioned her arm in the Hokage’s direction as the bird flew and landed on her arm. Her eyes widened as she read the note and quickly wrote a notice to the Mizukage. As the bird was released through the open window, she then interlaced her fingers with a stern expression.
Shizune: Heeee!-I’ll leave you to your work!
Narrator: Frightened by her Kage’s facial expression, she quickly raised a cringed hand almost covering her face as she then hastily exited the office as several thoughts flashed through the stressed Tsunade.
Tsunade: (In thought) Mei will have much trouble with that nukenin and for my two-man group to run into her is the most surprising thing to happen in a while!

Description: This technique creates clones out of water that have one-tenth of the original user's power. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves.
