[Theory] The Alchemy of Rikudou Chakra

Okay, so first we'll start with the basics:

Rikudou Chakra is a fusion of:

1. Rinnegan Chakra
   • Indra Chakra (Indra/Madara/Sasuke)
   • Ashura Chakra (Ashura/Hashirama/Naruto)
2. All Tailed Beasts Chakra

The Rinnegan
Some people might say that the Rinnegan is made from the chakra of the Uchiha and Senju, not necessarily Indra and Ashura. But it's all the same thing since Indra is the ancestor of the Uchiha and Ashura of the Senju. Senju chakra is really just Ashura chakra, and this is why when a transmigrant of the actual Ashura is born he has so much more capacity than the average Senju. Case in point, Hashirama wasn't just a Senju, but the very reincarnation of the grandfather of all Senju, and so he could do things that even other Senju could not do.

Now, this leads me to Naruto. One might say Naruto isn't a Senju, but I'd say he's actually more "Senju" than Tsunade because his chakra comes directly from the source (Ashura). So in theory, if Sasuke bit off a piece of Naruto's flesh he would have awakened the Rinnegan in some future.

Tailed Beasts
The presence of all 9 tailed beasts chakra brings about the Ten Tails. The ten tails, combined with the Rinnegan (Indra+Ashura) gives you Rikudou powers. Pretty straightforward.

Naruto and Sasuke​

This is where it gets really interesting. Remember the moment that Naruto first saw Hagoromo and got his powers? It was when Obito was giving him the chakra of all the tailed beasts. This was the critical moment where the nine tailed beasts' chakra merged with Ashura's chakra in Naruto, summoning Hagoromo.

Because otherwise, why did Hagoromo wait until that long to appear? I don't think he could have given Naruto his power if Naruto didn't already possess a portion of all of the tailed beasts. So that's why he appeared at that moment.

At the exact same time, Sasuke was able to see Hagoromo because Kabuto was giving him his sage chakra. Kabuto said he was a lesser version of the Sage of Six Paths, through some experiments he had done. So you see, it could not have happened any sooner because this was the first time for both Sasuke and Naruto where they had exposure to Rikudou chakra in some form.

What powers they got
Now, the reason why Sasuke only got the Rinnegan was because Kabuto was giving him the cells of Hashirama, but not any of the Tailed Beast chakra. Since Sasuke already has Indra's chakra, this was all he needed to awaken the Rinnegan but Hagoromo helped make that happen quicker, rather than waiting until old age. Reversely, Naruto was able to get the Gudodama because he had the tailed beasts chakra in him, but he didn't get the Rinnegan because he lacked Indra's chakra. So Naruto is a mix of Ashura chakra and all Tailed Beast chakra, making him really close to the Rikudou.

Other Characters​

Various characters in naruto have different mixes of these chakras. Here's a diagram with approximate percentages of this chakra distribution in prominent characters:

Naruto and sasuke should have 100% in their respective transmigrant chakra since hagoromo himself give them his chakra.

@ Orange Hokage - Ah, you're right. So I'll put 90% from birth, but after meeting Hagoromo it should be 100%.

where are you getting the % from?

It's a work in progress but some of the general guidelines I'm using are:

Regular Uchiha = 20% of Indra's chakra
Transmigrant = 90% of original person's chakra
Rinnegan is activated with 50% or more of both Indra and Ashura chakra.

Some explanations:

Hashirama = 90% of Ashura's chakra because he's a transmigrant
Orochimaru = 70% of Ashura's chakra because his whole body is made out of Hashirama cells yet he's still not the original
Kabuto = 80% of Ashura's chakra because he took it a little farther than Orochimaru

Madara eating Hashirama's flesh isn't quite as much % of him as Orochimaru, so 50% of Ashura chakra. Still enough to activate the Rinnegan.
Danzo having all those sharingan of regular Uchihas barely gives him an an average Uchina's Indra chakra, so 20%. He got some Hashirama cells but it's less than anyone else and not enough to activate the Rinnegan, so %20.

I would probably say that young naruto would only have ~5% of ten tails chakra. Since he has half the 9 tails.

But else yes this may be made up, but all things considered, a decent statistical representation.

On a side note, none of this explains how obito gave kakashi all that power, while having absolutely none himself lol
