From the shacks of darkness, a cold love was cast to the rain
The time grew us heartless, the voids of our lives now remain.
Gliding, silently riding the tide; we languished in each other's pain.
Sigh of the tide could be heard as it poured from your vein.
All that kept us bound, in seeking the light as we frayed,
Was soon to drown us, in memories lost and made.
We swam to our grave, through seas that our anger had laid
With every crashing wave, we learned why our hearts had strayed.
Under the arc of night, history glows in the flame,
Huddled in tightly; the days that it knows not to blame.
Thunderous black skies, trickling with flashes of shame;
Envelop me in wonder, what each of our lives became.
