A lot of you will be saying: Madara was too strong for Naruto and Sasuke to beat, Kishi needed to replace him with a Weaker Kaguya.
You are wrong. That is the biased answer given by Madara fans, and Parroted by most Kaguya haters.
The actual reason, which is unfortunately all to do with Parallels and bullshit, is that Madara did not fit in with the Transmigration bullshit as an enemy of Naruto and Sasuke.
Hence why Kaguya was brought in. As someone outside the Indra/Ashura parallels, she could act as a villain that the two of them need to team up to beat. There's no point in Indra and Ashura teaming up to defeat Indra.
